 | News Comment | Morsy Flying Out to Kuwait Today at 14:52:12
Few players have earned the level of respect from us fans that Morsy has, certainly in the premier league era. Unquestionably a modern legend who can do no wrong, except perhaps set the building on fire on his way out the door. All the best to him. Was an absolute privilege to watch him wear the shirt. |
 | News Comment | Trabzonspor Concerns Over Tuanzebe Injury Record at 08:17:44
Football is a vocation. Fans are driven by emotion and loyalty, players and managers are not. So many ridiculous comments by people who fail to grasp this simple fact. Any player who lets their contract run down clearly is deliberately gaining leverage to earn as much from their career as possible. Players often do it in their late 20s, when they are at their peak. It's a very short career so who can blame them! |
 | News Comment | Szmodics: I Refused to Play For Blackburn at 17:34:08
Similar to the Burgess situation now, you can't blame a player for doing what is best for their career. It's a short career and regardless of your playing ambitions, you need to make what money you can from the game as you'll be a long time retired. |
 | News Comment | Chaplin: Summed Up a Lot of Our Season at 22:22:23
Physicality is about far more than just running stats. We were the smallest side in the division and lacked the physical strength and presence to compete. Every team in the prem is full of big strong athletes who dominate the ball. Unfortunately we just couldn't match them. |
 | News Comment | Clarke: I'm Better Equipped Than I Was at the Start of the Season at 08:11:25
My thoughts on Clarke have been a bit of a rollercoaster, and not unlike how I've felt about the team as a whole. Really excited and optimistic for what he could do when he signed, underwhelmed and frustrated by his performances while he found his feet, but gaining confidence in him now and excited to see what he can do in the future. |
 | News Comment | Cunha to Miss Wolves' Portman Road Visit at 15:07:31
We're highly unlikely to stay up of course, but at least we have a tiny sniff of a chance if we can beat Wolves at Portman Road. The term "must win game" gets bandied around too much for me, but if any game where a mathematical certainly doesn't hang in the balance deserves the title, this one does. I'm already looking forward to next season regardless, but there would be an element of poetic justice if Cunha's 2nd ban ultimately sent Wolves down, after the debacle that was his successful appeal and subsequent goal-scoring points-winning performances in the wake of the last ban. |
 | News Comment | Harness 'Outstanding' in Derby Win at 12:00:18
Pleased for him, he'll be useful for them in league one which is about his level. I'm sure this will reap a few downvotes but I don't miss him, good honest pro though he is. |
 | News Comment | Edmundson Completes Boro Move at 13:14:25
So we've got a better deal for him than what was on the table before we recalled him, a move that was roundly criticised by the armchair experts on here! Maybe next time a few more will trust Ashton knows what he is doing. |
 | News Comment | Carrick: Edmundson Deal Needs to Be Right For All Parties at 11:26:50
So many armchair managers who know better than the club! Wolfy is out of contract in the summer and has lots of suitors, perhaps we're happy to keep Edmundson as backup if Wolfy is sold? Regardless, most transfer dealings these days come down to brinkmanship, I'm sure if the situation doesn't change he'll be sold to Boro in the last 48 hours of the window. Either way, we're showing we are no mugs and will not be dictated to by anyone else. That's worth more than £500k on it's own in terms of future transfer wranglings... |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Donacien Said Emotional Goodbyes at 15:38:30
One of the few who have been with us on the whole journey from Championship relegation to where we are today. In many ways how he has performed for us throughout his time here epitomises that journey and I'm sure he now loves the club just like we fans do. We are all Janoi Donacien. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We've Given Away a Pretty Soft Goal From Our Point of View at 18:42:54
Can't argue with that assessment, I thought we were the better team for a good 20 minutes spell in the first half and needed the goal. Once Forest got their noses infront they were very physical, defended in numbers and made it very tough for us. No complaints about the performance away to a very good side, but frustrating that despite our improvements over recent weeks, we still seem to be coming out the wrong side of fine margins and picking up less points than we arguably deserve. |
 | News Comment | Former Boss Keane Rows With Fans at 18:14:12
How quickly people forget. Wasting millions on Man U rejects who did very little here or after. Ostracising talented players like Counago rather than managing them. Forcing Walters out of the club and trying to brawl with him. Selling Jordan Rhodes for peanuts. Deriding our fanbase, snubbing our legends... Keane set us back 10 years. He should never ever feel welcome at Portman Road. |
