Signing Hackney would be a massive move away from the type of Midfielder that KM typically likes.

Stephen Ward was really good for about 5 games until his legs stopped working because he was about 110 years old.
He was also the most Mick McCarthy signing ever that wasn't signed by Mick McCarthy. |

It is really hard to do this without knowing who is moving on but as the squad is there man there is some real talent at this level.
The defence needs a couple of additions to pad it out but there are some strong options there.
The attacking 3 behind the striker is beyond stacked. Maybe will want to add an option on the Right ?
Need at least 1 striker to come in probably 2.
As you say midfield the key area. Jason Knight is a player. The midfielder I'm keen on is Jonathan Varane from QPR. 6'3, super mobile and really good at breaking up play. Would give us some much needed steel in midfield.

I would say no.
Broja is a seriously talented player, probably too talented for the championship. But with Hirst we already have a good striker with a questionable injury record. I don't think I would take that risk with Broja as much as I like him as a player. |

The impression that I got was that our fans were shocked that Burgess went to Swansea. Not because Swansea are some small irrelevant club, but Moreso because he was linked with clubs in the Spanish first division and ended up staying in the championship.
Think Swansea fans have got themselves worked up about something very minor. |

Last time he was in the championship he was the best centre back in the league, by a fair margin for my money. After 5 games this season our fans were hailing it as a genius piece of business to sign him and that we had pulled Hulls pants down with the fee. He got injured came back in and struggled to get to grips with the division, a long with the rest of team, Burgess included btw who had shaky games like everyone else.
Some of the comments about our young players who made the step up to the Premier league for the first time on here are genuinely mind numbing. Where has our patience and perspective gone. Dont forget how bad Burgess was in his first season. [Post edited 15 Jun 1:19]

Shame to see him go.
I have full confidence in Greaves who was really strong for Hull last time out in the champ and hasn't hit this ceiling yet being 5 years younger than Burg. From the clubs perspective I can see why they would want to make him the main man and not offer CB a 3 year deal where he isn't guaranteed game time.
A super player for us though with a great Ipswich story. Wish him well. |

He was certainly committed but he made playing football look so very difficult and don't get me started on that long throw. Not the worst player from that era, not even close but just not someone I rated.
That home kit was alright. The away was the first version of the Ipselona kit IIRC which we maybe wore once ? |

I'm not sure how much they do at schools these days to educate kids on DUI but it should be hammered home as much as possible. |
