I would say so.

Great engine very mobile, but also very comfortable in possession and can push on with someone player deeper behind him. He would be a great successor to both Morsy and Luongo actually.

Super player.

Not sure he improves us right now though I have to say. But a clear fit on recruitment plan.

Use the Prem money to get Chandler back. Offer him a players wage.

The Fanzone guy is very good for that environment but he's about pantomime imo.

Absolutely. Certainly has the temperament and intelligence that I would want from a an ITFC manager.

Seems a lovely guy.

I still think he has loads to prove. He had a really really good Hull team, and so many times they played horrible slow and paint by numbers football. I know a fair few Hull fans who still weren't overly convinced. Played well in the 3v3 vs us but that. style was a bit of an anomaly.

I would not have sacked him, but I think he gets a lot of credit for not really doing anything impressive yet.

So not Clarke then!

Morsy, Mass and Taylor would get us killed in the Prem.

Taylor isn't even a Cm, fairly sure KM saw him as a 10 in the latter stages of the season.

I have full confidence in Morsy, I have far less in the other 2.

Cm has to be the priority. We are so weak in that area.

I think Phil said Clarke is still on the list, so could still be an option. He is the most obvious with our transfer strategy so far and Sunderland local journos were saying the interest was genuine. I still think we will sign him.

Id be amazed if we don't make a move for Ben Sheaf.

It is quite clear we are targeting the best English players in the championship. Sheaf is imo the best of the lot. I think he could play for a top 6 prem team and not look out of place, he is such a good player. Absolutely perfect for what we need. Im praying we sign him.

Sonya Massey, in the US, killed by police officers....

The video is a horrid watch.

I really cannot fathom why in that circumstance the police officer has shot someone. Are these people actually trained?

He was an 18/19 year old playing in an atrocious team coached by horrible managers. I thought he showed glimpses of being a real talent was just inconsistent which is to be expected.

Yep Cooper is also a great pick. Ticks loads of boxes. A good and trusted friend of Harris, popular in a red state which is a big target for the Dems, they nearly won NC last time as well. And he has credibility on progressive issues as well. I like it a lot. Him or Beshear I think are the best options.

It's hard to say from across the pond but it feels to me like there is a bit of momentum for her which Is perhaps to be expected running against someone so detestable. The dems just need to back her and get to work. I think she can do it.

Josh Shapiro, Mark Kelly, Roy Cooper, Andy Beshear are the 4 names being mentioned. All fit the bill, all would appeal to moderates and all of them are terrible matchups for JD Vance.

Mark Kelly is interesting. Swing State, astronaut, served in the Navy. He has credibility on Gun violence given what happened to his wife and their experience and probably wont ever run for the big job himself.

Yep. Especially with turnout a big issue. I think if the Dems can make Abortion the issue, Get out and vote and stop a nationwide abortion ban. People will show out. Biden was pretty lax on this issue but Harris will have more enthusiasm.

I'm with you, this election is not a foregone conclusion. Harris has a lot of positives when it comes to the US electoral system. i think the republicans need to be careful, especially in places like Georgia and Arizona. These swing states are back in play.

That is the big plus point to Harris. Abortion instantly becomes the big issue of the election. And she is credible in that area.

Women will turn out to vote for Harris. An area Trump struggles with.

Absolutely. JD Vance just doesn't bring anything to Trump. Mike Pence brought experience, he had constitutional credibility. Vance is just Trump without any charisma. There will be a debate and it wont be good for Vance.

It is interesting that Obama hasn't endorsed. All the other big hitters are, either way I cant see anyone of note stepping forward to it. If you were Josh Shapiro, Pete Buttigieg , Jon Ossoff. Why would you step up for this one as opposed to waiting it out and going next time, when you will most likely have an easier challenge. That being said, I do think the Dems can win with Kamala.

2 California politicians on the same ticket would be political suicide.

As you say it will be a swing state politician. A good VP is crucial. JD Vance is weak, it was a bad pick. He does nothing for Trump. He will be made to look very silly in the debates.

Especially if you put JD up against someone like Beshear who has extensive knowledge of Appalachia would be a great match up for the Dems. Or even a Josh Shapiro.

Trump made a pigs ear of his VP pick.
