ITFC Player of the Season....

Know it's an overall award but Pennington has not won the Sponsors Award in any game. Surely it should go to someone who has won the award a few times?

He's been at fault for most of thegoals we have conceded but has also played well if you minus those faults. Feel he's been pretty unlucky to be honest, whenever he makes a mess of things it always seems to end up in the back of our net.

I'm one of those older fans, fewer of us around these days. Main rivalry then was Leyton Orient, even today no clue why. They didn't like us for some reason lost in history.

Normally we need to sell more than we buy to break even every year. Relegation to league 1 is going to lead to a much greater likelihood of need for sales, as we are going to lose a lot more money.
Who are we going to sell to make ends meet? In my mind, we aren't going to get hefty sums for Spence or any of the new players Hurst has introduced. It's going to be the youth players who have had experience in the championship that are most likely to be sold. Them plus Huws and Bialkowski. Perhaps Sears.
It's good to be optimistic about the future of this club. But we must recognise that we will lose some of our best players if we go down. You mention Downes, Dozzell, Bishop and Lankester. I could easily see us losing 3 out of those 4.
As for your friend, he may well be trying to make you feel better. If I had a friend who was a Notts County fan right now; I'd probably be bigging him up towards promotion next season. I'm not going to say "last you'll ever see of league football" as that's not going to make him feel any better.
And Knudsen? Stoke forums seem happy with the link, think he's a good player.

As an Ipswich and Norwich fan (cue down votes) I see posts on both fan sites. I'm sure some of you know that there are a fair few regular Norwich fans posting this season here. Easy to recognise same view points and mannerisms. Extreme vitriol towards certain players is often a sign, as is support for players who are clearly playing poorly (I.e. "INSERT NAME is a great player, player of the season material etc etc etc").
Really hope Ipswich can get out of this dip. Only real positive this season is the poor performance of three other teams which does give a semblance of hope. One shock result and could be in the mix.
So by some miracle we close the gap to 4 next Saturday

We need a few thaumaturgic results to survive. With Villa, we somehow need to hang on until the 90th minute and then they score a calamitous own goal. A repeat like at Swansea needed (we got absolutely battered then steal the 3 points). If results went our way and the gap was cut to 4, fans and players alike would start to believe again. Nerves would start to rattle in the 3 teams above us and we might just stand a chance. If we got 7 points from the next 3 games we may stand a chance of surviving the drop. That's wins against Villa and Wednesday and a draw at Norwich. Seems unlikely though.
I realise Pennington did well on Saturday but....

Rotherham played a lot of ball down the middle. Though Pennington had a good game, he wasn't overloaded or particularly tested. And we have all seen what he can do at centre-half! People keep banging on about him being the answer but I have strong suspicions this is 1 or 2 people with alternative accounts. Ask the average supporter and they'd nod and say "he had a good game but we need a new right back ASAP".

Sunday league debut. Hope that's a "one off" and when he settles in he'll be up to par

Worst debut I've ever seen and that includes Giles Coke

A Norwich City Football Club spokesman said: “The new ticketing security measures have been introduced after full consultation between both clubs and police and will be introduced for both East Anglian derby games this season – the first of which is on September 2 at Portman Road.

No chance but might be in League 1 a few years. Depends on investment in the Summer.
