 | News Comment | McKenna: Certainly a Possibility Delap Will Be an Ipswich Player Next Season at 16:58:18
Mckenna is being diplomatic, im sure him and us all know Delap is playing top division football next season. Good luck to him, its been great watching him bash his way through the prem defences this season. Im pleased that Hirst has been given a run out recently, it'll stand him in good stead for next season when i think he'll lead our team well, with the support of another experience champ striker |
 | News Comment | Delap: I Knew I Could Score in the Premier League at 09:41:09
I was slightly dubious of his ability to step up to the Prem as so many strikers dont do it. But after watching him monster the Liverpool lad on game day 1, you could just tell he had so much about him. Outstanding player who will take over from Kane as Englands no.9 in the not too distant future. |

Gutted for Wes. I think the prem has proven a step too far for him but a useful squad player and will always be a legend in my mind after the last two years. Hope for a full recovery and that we haven't seen the last of him in a town shirt. |

Good move for him, at 23 its vital he is playing regularly. Still a big room for improvement, hopefully it'll help him make that next step into a Prem player. Best of luck Harry! |
 | News Comment | Broadhead Out of Wales Squad at 15:10:29
Something is obviously not right, he recently deleted all reference to Ipswich on his social media accounts which in 2024 means a disgruntled player! A real shame if there has been a relationship breakdown, its sad to see the heroes of the last couple of years get side lined. But that's the price of progress I suppose. In Mckenna we trust |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson, Burgess and Muric Could Add to Caps at 09:56:17
It's great to see players picking up international caps, a bit of pride for the club. However im a bit pleased to see that delap is suspended for the next game and is back at town. He is going to have a very heavy workload this autumn!! |
 | News Comment | Blues Duo in England U21s Squad at 10:27:16
@Europablue. Hutchinson declined a call up to Jamaica at the end of the seasons to give him time to consider his future. Presumably someone in the England set up had expressed interest in him. RE other query: "First, it is now possible for a player to change national team even if they have played competitively at senior level, provided: the player held the nationality of their new association at the time of their first official appearance for their first national team. the player played in no more than three competitive senior games before the age of 21. the player has not played in the final stage of an official tournament such as the World Cup, European Championship, Copa America etc. at least three years have passed since the player's last senior appearance for their previous national team. So, a player who is eligible for England and Republic of Ireland could, for the sake of argument, play for England in three World Cup 2022 qualification games, then represent Ireland at the 2026 World Cup. The opposite - playing at a World Cup then switching - is not permitted. Second, a player can now change to a new national team even if they did not hold that nationality at the time of their first appearance for their old national team, as long as they last played for the old national team before the age of 21." |

Love to see it! Always brings a bit of pride seeing are boys in the England set up. Lets hope Delap is Kanes heir in waiting...(no pressure!) |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Signing of Keeper Muric at 12:43:03
He was superb in the promotion season and was unlucky to make way for Trafford last season which only really happened because Burnley had to justify the large fee spent on Trafford in my opinion. Has a few clangers in his catalogue but which keeper doesn’t. A definite upgrade and fits McKennas style of play. |
 | News Comment | Former Town Loanee Stearman Announces Retirement at 16:55:28
I remember him coming in and helping to steady the ship during a dreadful season. Good man, we will always be grateful for your efforts at a dark time in our history! Happy retirement |
 | News Comment | Town Agree Fee For Manchester City Striker Delap at 14:02:11
Wow, if these 3 deals come off in the next 24 hours then thats superb work by Ashton and the team. Im less sure on Delap, he looked ok in the champ but its a huge step up for a striker more than any other position to the prem. He definitely fits the Mckenna striker mould though. In Ashton and McKenna we trust! |
 | News Comment | Liverpool and Manchester City Up First For Town at 11:39:03
Game 1, Liverpool, new coach, team not clicking yet. Ipswich win Game 2. Man City, players still exhausted after euros, copa, Olympics. Ipswich win Game 3. Fulham. Silva leaves on eve of season, club in chaos. Ipswich win Game 4. Brighton. See Liverpool above. Ipswich win Long story short, I cant see anything but 38 wins for Ipswich next season. Which is nice |
 | News Comment | Hirst Signing Confirmed at 10:37:24
This is excellent news and what a bargain! He is a real menace and got better and better for us. I dont think Leicester quite no what they are losing but we'll happily take advantage! |
 | News Comment | Barnsley 0-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:01:17
Wow! That looked never in doubt. We made one of the best teams in the league look very average (again!!). Proud to be a town supporter again tonight. Well done all those who travelled up for it. Come on you blues |
