Not including rashford on £350k a week. Sancho on £300k a week.

Noone really knows what's gone on behind the scenes.
Morsy seems to want to leave, we're paying him £30k a week and probably wont be a sure starter anymore. That money can go on someone else.
Don't get me wrong, I get your point. I want him to stay but they might have had an agreement etc. Who knows. |

Well some may say you have selective amnesia. He was never really that good, but sometimes that gets overlooked because we were still winning. However, having said that, he came on and ran around and saw games out but he did look very "raw".
Clearly the premier league is a step too far for him.
I think we need to clear some players out before we can bring anymore in. I doubt we would like him go if we don't bring someone else in. Surely we can't start the season with just Hirst.
Also maybe he doesn't want to be a third striker. |

I've said on a few threads last year, I doubt many will give their ST while there is a resale platform and the demand for tickets. Its a no brainer really.
If you can't go, you just stick the ticket on the resale site and get your mney back for that game. I'd imagine most ST holders have friends/family they can give it to anyway.
So I think its wishful thinking any ST will be available. However, the club really should start a waiting list though. |

Yes it will be interesting to see when the "the players are tired" rubbish comes out.
I can't be the only one who has had absolutely no interest in this. I've seen clips and things on social media but not actually sat and watched a game.
I can't believe the tournamnet has "made money" and is just backed by some rich saudis. [Post edited 11 Jul 14:35]

Maybe I'm the only one to see it, but based on last season, surely he is down the pecking order (?), and if we go back up, I'm not convinced the club rate him as highly as some here. I don't think we're going to offer him a bumper contract.
Personally I think if the right club comes in with a decent offer, he'll be gone, especially if its near Wales. Unless we're happy to have him this season and then let him go next for free. |

I do think we're in a strange position where we want to try and recruit players who can step up to the premier league, but don't have interest/bids from the PL.
Hopefully we can gauge sooner rather than later who is likely to be a target. |

Obviously it's a good gesture and they don't "have to" but imagine the outcry, probably from their own fans if they didn't.
I'd say a lot of clubs do this, most recently the Greek team that Goerge Baldock played for.
I'd imagine any club big enough to be able to afford it, would do it. |

Of course there is different levels of "worry" but someone once told me "why worry about things you've got no control over."
Ok, doesn't work in some scenarios but for this it's perfect.
Even if we had the squad we have at the moment, we should still have a decent enough team.
We're going to add players. Ideally sooner rather than later but I refuse to get annoyed or worried. [Post edited 7 Jul 13:53]

I was just going to bring Mowbray up. Definitely didn't play 3 seasons in the last 25 seasons.
If Jackson and Sears are two of our 25 top playing in the last decade, then we've been really bad! It wasn't THAT bad was it?
Broadhead - Not played 3 seasons (2.5)
Scowcroft - Not 3 in the last 25 years.
Definitely some good ones missed out that other have said. I'd have Fabian Wilnis in mine (Probably)...Its about opinions I suppose. |

I've been fooled by people on here before saying players/teams are good before a seasons started.
I'm going to reserve judgement until definitely the first game, but also the 9 afterwards and see where they are after 10 games! |

Not sure i've ever heard anyone say Savage speaks well. From his childish "banter" with Chris Sutton, to his annoying commentary on Man Utd Europa league games, i'd guess you're in the minority! [Post edited 1 Jul 12:06]

It's clearly a joke to get a laugh however it is sexist. I'm guessing a 6 game ban is because of previous punishment he's had?
Just on a tangent, my 7 (at the time) year old son's teacher (a woman) was teaching/telling the kids about "man looking" which as you probably can tell, is about not looking properly when something is right in front of them......Is that sexist? |
