Millwall essentially pulled out of the deal because of a doubt over an old injury but happy to take him for free. What happens if he gets a career ending injury this season (pray not)? We dont get a penny. Not sure where this is a good deal for Twn other than getting him off the wage bill, whch seems a bit strange as we were told that all players have a 50% wage cut for relegation to league 1.

What a load of rubbish, Yep WalkThe Walk, I'll wet my bed over this.. and so will 99% of proper town fans who care about the club.
My worry is us being linked with a whole load of league 2 players...no quality loans coming in and not linked to any out of contract Championship level players. We shuld be buildign a Championship squad if we want to get out of this poor league - not getting in more dross like Hurst did!
Evans has said we can pay wages or pay transfer fees - well we obviously are nt paying fees so lets pay wages for decent out of contract Championship players..
This is very worrying & I dint think the defence is anywhere near good enough & we have one striker..does any one else?? |

Nice to see a good young local talent signing for their home club. Shame the older brother got lured by the big signing on fees at Chelsea - I guess you cant blame him though as thats teh way the games gone unfortunately.
Years ago Sir Bobby managed to get Beattie from under Liverpools nose - these days we woldnt be able to hold onto ALL of our best youngsters. Ben Knight to Man City another prime example. |

Judge, just signed a new 2 year deal with us knowing we were going to be playing in League 1 - It hasnt harmed his chances to play for Ireland. We need to play him as a Num10 in the hole like another poster said, build teh team around him and smah up the league.
We need top level championship players to get out of league 1, we need to keep our best. This is Warburton tipping off the press to try and prize him away. |
