 | News Comment | Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs at 19:52:58
Reading all of the comments on here, we clearly have some nuggets (probably from up the road), who have registered on this site to talk rubbish and try to get under the skin of the rest of us. My views (for what they are worth alongside all of those others are this): I do not think KM will leave this summer, he had Chelsea, Brighton and Man Utd temping him this time last season and didn't choose to go (the £120k a week contract put pay to that), so if he said no to them, why a season on would he go to Brentford? Secondly, I think he is more than settled here and knows that he has the backing of the club and the fan base for the amazing job he has done so far. I went to every home game as I do every season and we were not a million miles away from those sides that have had a few years in the PL and have been able to ensure that they have a strong bench to influence games in the later stages, this is where we fell short. Those Turkey munchers up the road and so quick to tell me that we spent £140 million, but clearly they don't know that we took a squad that was largely assembled in League 1 all the way to the top flight. We simply had to seriously invest, but we could (if we were allowed too) have spent twice that to ensure that we had a side capable of staying up. It important now how we start next season and ensure that we build momentum early on. I believe in KM, his ability to build attractive football from the back, working through the various phases of the pitch is exceptional. Sides in the Championship (including the Turkey munchers), already fear playing us with the large amount of proven Championship talent we now have within our squad. I believe in the club to find the right players, yes a decent and proven striker is a must, so is getting the two in the center of midfield sorted quickly. Finally, to those who are posting on here from up the road, please go away, you are boring, leave this sight to fans of the real Pride of East Anglia as I am sure we will prove next season. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: FFP Limits Promoted Clubs' Ambition at 07:40:41
Opinions are like ar*eholes, everyone has one, but it’s also true that many of them stink. Those plastic fans who slate the best young coach in the country are clearly not the smaller section of us real fans who stuck by the side in the depths of League 1. Go back to your PlayStations and play out your dreams on there please and leave the real football to the rest of us!!! |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Report at 16:13:09
Let long forward to seeing all of the plastic fans disappear again into the background and let the real fans have their stadium back. As for the comments on the first page, please get a grip of yourselves and think about where we were two seasons ago when half of you probably didn’t come to games. To suggest KM is not up to it shows how little you know about football. He is still regarded as one of the very best young coaches in the game and for now we are certainly blessed to have him. It’s a five year plan not a three year plan, so let’s see where we are after the five years shall we, I’d much rather watch close single goal loses in the top flight than I would draws in n League One under coaches who couldn’t even lace KM’s boots. So to those plastic fans who moan and quote such drivel, jog on please. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-6 Manchester City - Match Report at 20:20:27
When less than three years ago I used to sit in an almost totally empty row with my best friend from school, I thought my beloved club was dead and never again in my time would I watch the best teams probably in the World coming to PR. Today, I had the pleasure of witnessing us playing such a side this time without a single seat available anywhere near me. We (as expected) were blown away by a team who has spent billions to assembled probably one of the richest clubs ever, managed by probably one of the best managers in the modern day game, blimey even the supporting staff around him almost trebled the number of fellow Town fans who used to actually sit within 20 metres of me in the stadium. I’m not going to pick our names, but I’m embarrassed by some of the negative comments, which must be coming from those supposed fans who less than three years ago didn’t even come to games. To those specific fans I say simply this “Wake up and smell the coffee” what our club has achieved in the past two season is nothing short of exceptional, we are now very much playing with the big boys and therefore some days we will get pumped like we were today. The gap between the Championship and this league is huge and so clear to see by looking at the league table. If you don’t realise that, go back to what ever you were doing before and stop moaning! |
 | News Comment | Sheffield United Eyeing Woolfenden at 13:37:06
Some of the comments in here are quite frankly laughable, Woolfy is as good as any other defender we have at the club, he plays comfortably out from the back and shows real determination to get forward. Clearly some view it differently but having been a season ticket holder for many many years, this lad is out and out a real blue and we should do everything to both keep him and play him in the current formation. Godfrey is totally unproven and my friends from across the border state that he is a much better wing back and at times an awful CB, so I’d keep with Woofly all day long. |

If you have players (and we do) playing in this country who don’t wear a poppy at remembrance time, then equally we have to respect the wishes of those who don’t want to wear the arm band. |
 | News Comment | Blues Legend Whymark Dies at 17:14:25
I had the pleasure of playing alongside Trevor for Wortwell in 1991-92 which was one of his last non league playing years. I was young, fit (in the Army) and thought my word what is this guy still playing for, but from the kick off it was clear how well he knew and read the game. A legend in the field and a great teacher as well as a great man off the pitch RIP Trev |
 | News Comment | Liverpool Game a Sell-Out at 18:43:11
I laugh at the comment of ‘we need a bigger ground’ Less than three seasons ago, I sat as the only one in an entire row, with thousands of other seats empty around me. I didn’t give up on my club, but so many did, now I’m reading social media comments from supposed fans saying that season tickets should be scrapped because it’s unfair to other fans!!!
