And as for not being interested in the Armed Forces that protect your right to quote such crap and have a go at perfectly innocent fans, you are what is ultimately very wrong in today's society!

Let me try and educate you Seablu so you have my background (especially as you appear to be so interested in me).

I'm a 46 year old Army veteran who served with the Brigade of Gurkhas in conflicts such as Kosovo where I witnessed at first hand hatred, racism and torture in a 6 month tour that thankfully most won't experience in a lifetime. In fact it's probably fair to say that for 12 years I, (alongside many others ) helped provide the very freedom that you take for granted to spout your rubbish that you read on google and the likes. Our PM is anything but racist, he is the democratically elected PM who in my day earnt the respect to lead this country until voted otherwise.

It's fair to say that having served with the Brigade, that I'm not in any way racist myself, in fact I deplore those who are and would never hesitate to stand up to anyone who shows any examples of it. All that said however, I'm growing tired of supposed do gooders who are looking to try and cause unrest and disruption with wildly inaccurate statements like you have above.

Now as I have said twice already today, grow up and move on!

Seablu, you are quoting a claim of what he apparently said, it sounds to me that you know very little from behind your keyboard. You know nothing about any of us who are commenting on here, yet are quick to make unsubstantiated claims!

As I keep saying stop now you are embarrassing yourself!

Former Blues Defender McGreal Sacked By Colchester
at 14:49:46

Apparently (and this is how the press release reads as well), the owner wants to continue down the youth route blooding them into the first team, John on the other hand wanted funds for two to three missing players of experience and quality. With what Col U have lost under the pandemic there was only ever going to be one winner. Mix this with the fact that Tranmere are on the look out for a new manager as they attempt to climb back out of league 2 at the first attempt, have money to spend on limited additions and it being Mcgreals old stomping ground???

My guess, is that he will be interviewed and accept the TR position within the next two weeks.

Watch this space.

O'Neill Delighted Young Duo Have Signed Deals
at 17:35:57

Something slightly different than the original post....

As a keen Town fan all my life and a season ticket holder for a large part of it I always take my colours on holiday abroad and two years ago met a lovely couple from Hengelo in the Netherlands. They are both massive FC Twente fans and I have already enjoyed two visits over there to watch their beloved reds play, first in their Championship level league and more recent a top flight game.

FC Twente (like our own) is a massive local community club and this summer (during the Covid-19 crisis), Over 200 of their fans have volunteered to paint the entire stadium 🏟 red. The photos I have received from him this morning are simply amazing and shows just how much the club and stadium are such a focal point to the area. It makes me wonder why we couldn’t do a similar offering here to really bring the old ground back to former glory and to have a bit of pride in the place! The stairways and plain concrete walls are dull and would look amazing and I would one would certainly offer up my time to put a bit of pride back into PR.

Interested to hear what others think out there 👍

Ex-Blue McGoldrick Instigated Players Taking a Knee
at 21:53:12

ITFC Rich,

Thank you for your honesty and reply, I didn’t give my summary to try and stand out for my service, those of us who have and continue to do so, do it for their own reasons, but your acknowledgment of your original wording is appreciated none the less. On Churchill, yes he did all those things and much worse in a much different time and whilst I certainly don’t condoned it, I think it has to be put alongside what he did do to destroy a fascist party that would have been guilty of a scale of mass murder probably bigger than at any other time in history. Without the Churchill leadership, I truly believe that we would not have the freedom we all enjoy today to even debate such matters. To attempt to disrespect his involvement in the eyes of many of this country’s great nation, will cause more harm than good for the BLM movement in the long run.

I still stand by my statement, we can not change history, we can only live our lives now and be decent humans to each other and learn from past failings. Yes Black lives matter, just the same as all lives matter I’ve seen enough hatred in the Balkans over race and region to last me more than one lifetime. Let’s hope we can all find a way to respect each other.

at 08:59:57

Ok ITFC Rich and SpruceMoose, let’s me give you a summary of my background before I respond...

I joined the Army at 16, serving Queen and country for 12 years in 28 different countries, two conflicts and was selected from a board of 86 officers to serve with the Brigade of Gurkhas (not a position offered to many people who are deemed racist). I’ve served alongside and with humans of different ethnic and diverse groups all of my service and then following this career have held multiple positions within business alongside Caribbean, Indian and Middle Eastern friends and colleagues. I now work for one of the most diverse and respected businesses in the World (so not un Worldly wise or a yokel as you like to put it).

I have no issue with the BLM movement and that’s why it is a movement towards (in the main) tackling racism. That said, the ‘crayon eating’ morons that you like to refer to, who deface the very British leader who led us through WW2 and those that try to climb on the cenotaph to set lite to the flags are clearly the totally uneducated ones. Disrespecting our war dead in this manner is far worse than anything so ITFC Rich, I stand by my original statement to you Sir, if it wasn’t for those that sacrificed their lives in past conflicts, or led us through them, then there wouldn’t be a BLM movement, one might consider reading to understand what it was that the Nazi regime were ultimately planning for all Jews and people of colour? To suggest that BLM is more important than the poppy, what planet are you actually on?

Now rest assured, there are fans who are sickened by racist idiots that remain in our society and together (in the appropriate way) we will stand up and deal with them as a society. We can not and will not ever change history, it has been poor and brutal for sure, but the best form to eradicate it is not to pull down status and throw them in rivers (recovered two days later and provided the very same racist thugs the opportunity to try and pull it out themselves a day earlier and get exposure on several news channels), no it’s to led our lives treating everyone equal and standing by those who are victims (not at any rally that causes destruction), but in our everyday lives!

Five Point Protest Aims to Focus Frustrations
at 20:21:08

Opinions are like ar*eholes, everyone has one.

The fact that I don’t agree with this is my opinion and one formed over 42 years of watching my equally beloved club. Protesting against the owner will get us absolutely no where, will show division when we least need it. It’s not our historic way and I doubt an otherwise very successful business man will even give this lot the time of day (I know I wouldn’t and I’ve been in business for many years and equally happen to be successful in my chosen field). I too have witnessed some of the behaviour at away games and I’m as embarrassed as I have been for all of those 42 years of following all over the place.

This season is over, those teams that will continue to visit PR for the rest of the season with players who are at a level to perform well in this league and might be coming to the end of their contracts are hardly going to be interested in a move to a toxic environment of a club who are protesting against the higher echelons who continue to pump money into the club just to keep it from going into administration. Still, I suppose they will look for their five minutes of local fame whilst the budgies yo the road laugh at how disjointed we have become. I’ll look forward to the friends and keyboard warriors who are no doubt glued to updates on this thread marking it down. I hope there’s not too many before I turn in tonight otherwise how will one cope and manage to sleep.

Very little of interest to see here and I doubt there will be at any remaining home game if the attempt before the Oxford home match was anything to go by.

Still, if it makes you happy 😂😂😂

Skuse: Performance Showed We’ve Not Thrown in the Towel
at 14:25:36

It’s very simple for me and I called this out back in October when we were picking up wins by the odd single goal, we don’t have enough quality in the last third. Jackson, who couldn’t hit a cows a**e last season was made to look a World beater early on, but teams have worked him out, yes he can run and beat most centre halves in this division, but he doesn’t convert enough to convince me that he could be a long term option to get us up and score the goals we need. Norwood, equally promised so much at the start, his hat trick against Colchester had most Town fans excited, finally we thought we had someone who could finish inside the 18 yard box, but again a typical confidence player, we have seen that sucked out of him over the course of the season with Lamberts inabilities to have a settled side for more than two or three games in a row. The lad is crushed now and battling with an injury.

As for Keane, I think at 45 I could offer more up front, as a season ticket holder in section 5 of the North stand, I don’t think I have seen him win a single header in the last third all season. He just hasn’t got the quality and it’s easy to see why he has dropped as fast down the leagues as we have as a team. I’m really hoping others have seen this and he is given his thanks but no thanks come the end of this faltering season.

Freddie for me is still the best we have, although he is best when playing off a large target man who actually wins the ball in the air. Murphy was available again at the start of the season and apparently was eager to return once again and he has proven at bottom place Bolton that he could have done twice the job that Keane has tried to do.

In the midfield, who is the out and out ball winner and man to hit the target from outside the 18 yard box, because sadly I don’t see him. I have been a long admirer of Huws who could be that man, but he is softer than a snow flake and even my patience has finally run out. If Downes is worth the apparent £5m then please seek him and go after a couple of creative midfielders for next season. Yes he is good, but his contribution of shots and goals ratio is poor, I appreciate that’s not his game, but if he is as good as some suggests even he should be able to do it at this level. Skuse now sadly past it, Nolan is poor at best and again has failed to show any of the form he had at his previous club. Dozzell needs a few nights in the nearest Steak 🥩 house to beef him up a bit and please Andre, try and look a little interested. Judge, too inconsistent, looks great one week out of six, so not good enough again for this level. Edwards is another one who promised so much when he first came, has been played largely out of position this season but still doesn’t hit it enough when given plenty of opportunities to do so.

So a combination of all that puts us about where we should be (10th). Goals win matches and shots creates goals or at least chances for others to convert!!!

Simply not good enough lads sorry..
