Welsh Messi tonight (we’ll ignore the chance he blazed over at the end). He was inspired! |

On TownTV. Loving this little feature, great to see some of the people who work behind the scenes. |

Comes out of that first half with any credit at all. That said, Sarmiento has been dreadful & Jackson has offered absolutely nothing. Al-Hamadi & Moore on at HT please, and at the end of the season maybe we can look back at their debut braces that brought us back to a 4-3 win as being the key moment in our promotion season! |

Probably the only one who’s looked like his usual self in that first half. Chaplin & Burns have had moments, but I think all of our outfield 10 have really struggled today. Think Clarke will come off at half time, as otherwise he’ll likely end up with a second yellow with Summerville running at him. This is the worst we’ve played all season and by a wide, wide margin. We’ve gotten so used to seeing Town turn up and smash it in the big games that it’s almost hard to remember what this felt like! |
| Forum Thread | Mexican Commentary at 12:50 30 Nov 2023
Watched the game on ESPN+ last night, and normally it’s broadcast on there with English commentary (I guess the same one used for the US broadcast), but last night they only had Latin American audio available, which was the first time I’ve ever watched town with Spanish language commentary. The commentators were Mexican, and quite clearly had no idea who we were. That said, they’d done their homework and through the game sounded like they were reading from a whole folder of facts they’d compiled about us. They loved the whole Ed Sheeran connection and also spent a while discussing Alf Ramsey at one point. While there were some dodgy mispronunciations at points (they kept calling us ‘Lizwidj’) it was quite entertaining and fun to see them discovering us and presenting us to a new audience. Interestingly, they were very, very impressed with Wes Burns and thought he was our best player, and at the end they were saying they hoped they’d get to watch us again sometime this season. Fancy him to score tonight. |

More sensible posts on here at the final whistle than people throwing their toys out the pram. Poor performance today, beaten by the better team on the day, but we’re in an unbelievable position and we’ve got a great opportunity to bounce back on Wednesday. I think the most frustrating thing for me today was Morsy getting a really stupid yellow card - needs to be very careful if he’s going to avoid getting suspended for the Nodge game. |

1. Minutes in the legs. 2. Elkan looked great, seemed very comfortable against high-level opposition. 3. Humphreys looked good at LB, gives us another option there in case (God forbid) we’re without Leif at any time. 4. One less game to worry about in an already congested December schedule. Other takeaways: Any lingering doubt on the #1 goalkeeper was fully put to bed tonight. Tuanzebe looks a way off being up to speed. Think we should be pretty happy with our run in the league cup for this year. Roll on Saturday! |

Think we’re lucky Luongo wasn’t sent off there! |

Huddersfield play a high defensive line, feels like a game KJ could make a real impact on with his pace if he gets off the bench second half. Imagine he’ll be well up for it too, being a Bradford lad - probably has all his family there today etc. As others have said, Morsy has been a big miss in the middle. Feel like we’ll always miss him, any time he’s out against any opponent, but against a team who want to make the whole game a battle like Huddersfield we feel it even more acutely. Uppa Town! |

Watching the semi-final tonight between Fluminense and Internacional. 2 players town should be looking to sign whatever they cost: Fluminense #11: Keno. Partly just for the name, also because he is absolutely rapid. Would be class to sign a forum OG. Fluminense #7: Andre. This being the actually serious one - this boy is a special player, will play at the top level before long. Whatever they want for him, we should pay it before Brighton swoop in to sign him. I am half joking with this post - just hoping that it’s only a year or two before suggestions like this become a realistic proposition for us. |

On soon to wrap this game up on his dad’s old stomping ground? Written in the stars innit. |

But what a save that was! F*** yes Vaclav, that’s the level son. Love to see him prove me wrong. |

Disappointing today but lots of positives to take from it. Created plenty of good chances in the first half and had we been able to take a couple of those we’d be celebrating a statement win instead of lamenting some poor errors that cost us today. Playing against a side of this standard is a massive step up from where we’ve been for the last few years, so hopefully the team will have learned a lot from it and will take some confidence from how well we were able to compete against a team with some excellent premier league players. |

Don’t think Leeds could have too many complaints if we were going in at 3-3 at half time. Good recovery after an awful 10 minutes or so where we conceded the three, we’ve just gotta be more clinical when we create chances. The ball in behind for Wes Burns has them in all kinds of trouble - might be a game for Lee Evans second half, pinging those diagonals over the top from deep for Wes, Kayden and Leif to run onto. |
