I think just the simple fact that CC was the best player to start against the opposition was why he played.
Then today, perhaps an offer came out of the blue and it was put to CC and he fancied it. He can see his path here for regular minutes will be limited for the time being. It helps to reduce the squad size, it helps CC stay fit and sharp, it helps us if he plays against our opponents and it helps us when we play Portsmouth if there best player can't play.
I'd rather CC go get minutes and keep enjoying football, than rot on our bench for the next year. |

I liked Travis and thought he did well in the Championship for us. But ideally I’d like another who is capable of the Premier League as otherwise we’ll be flip flopping between new signings for those key central midfield positions for the next 2-3 seasons. |

The Green Room in Ipswich (recently re-opened) and Good Inside (next door to the Green Room) also do a good coffee. Also St Stephen's Church (only open on Friday and Saturday)
All are really good, but Appluad is definitely the best. |

Another thing to sort was the queue for the gents. Not sure if the top lads need to sit to do a wee these days, or if a load of dodgy burgers had done the rounds but either way more cubicles are definitely needed.
Other than that I thought everything worked well. I was on the pitch and the free ponchos were very welcome. |

The boxing needs all the promotions and incentives it can get to sell out. Not all parts of the stadium are even open yet.

Interesting to see that the Pink ket is not yet reduced in the club shop, whereas the others are now half price. Perhaps keeping it for next season, or perhaps it hasn't been on sale for long enough at full price for it to be reduced. I seem to remember it was released a few weeks after the other ones. |

I have to say that tourists don't bother me in the slightest.
I don't have a season ticket, so I'm in competition with everyone else that wants a ticket. I've been to lots of games as a tourist and it's a great experience. I always cheer for the home team though, and buy my tickets through official club channels.
What I do object to though is fellow fans exploiting other fans by selling tickets on for vastly inflated prices. I think that's a really low act, especially as it's so easy to sell your ticket back to clubs and get your money back. |

TBH, the team had a terrible attitude, so no wonder their support is also woeful
Small things like the Chelsea players not bothering to clear the balls from the warm-up, leaving them scattered around the pitch suggests they came here just so very entitled. With that attitude, no wonder they lost. |

"Full of them' ?! what a small minded thing say. Nothing wrong with people enjoying themselves and buying stuff from the club shop and sampling a different culture.
I don't mind tourists coming to watch games at all.
I've been to games all over Europe, so don't mind in the slightest if someone wants to come here.
I do think clubs should do more to stamp out the reselling of tickets on the third-party sites though. |

Another option could be just not to have season tickets at all for the season that the builds take place.
That way everyone gets a chance for a ticket. |

I work at Westfield and for pre-match drinks I'd recommend a walk across the Olympic Park to Hackney Wick, or you can take the overground from Stratford Station and is one stop away. There are a number of canal side bars and pubs which are all good.
They'll be full of West Ham, but probably a better atmosphere than the bars in the Westfield shopping centre.
In the shopping centre there is a craft beer place, called Tap East which is also worth seeking out (nearest the exit to Stratford International Station)
When getting out, if wanting to go back to Stratford Station for the train back to Ipswich, it might be quicker to walk to Hackney Wick and get the overground from there back to Stratford Station. |

I must admit I'm not too bothered if a tourist sits in the home end with an away shirt on, as likely to be unintentional, mean no harm and they're just here for a game, to see their team live which could be once in a lifetime opportunity.
Although, I do think that the seat number needs reporting though so touts can be weeded out from our membership or season ticket database. But no need to cause a fuss during the game, unless they are actually abusing you.
This and lots of other things are just something to get used to being in the Prem. Embrace it, after all being in the Premier was what we all wanted! |
