Yup agree with this. What really frustrated me was how both our centre backs seemingly needed to touch the ball to switch play. Some many times Davis and Philogene were wide open, but by the time it went through Greaves, O’Shea and sometimes Tuanzebe, Utd had managed to close the space with ease. Johnson hit one lovely switch but that was in the whole half. Like you said, no intensity to actually do anything. Felt more like waiting for something to happen rather than force it upon Utd. |

As said, so many times, you can’t have Leif’s effectiveness in attack without leaving gaps in defence. He’s not got a teleport. His defending, especially 1v1, has come on leaps and bounds this season, but he’s often caught up field. |
 | Forum Reply | Surely we're not thinking of loaning out Broady? at 17:33 23 Jan 2025
I agree with you about Chaplin, he’s played well most of the games he’s played in my option but he’s a victim of the slight tweak to the formation where we are really playing with 2 10s rather than 3 and he’s only really suited to the centre 10, rather than left or right which is what we are playing with now. Thats how I see it, anyway! Brighton fans I know are disappointed he’s gone out on loan but some have said he needs to be less selfish and he’ll be a hell of a player. If anyone can get him going, it’s McKenna! |

It’s interesting if it’s a move to force Boro’s hand. Fridge will know how cut throat the professional game is and we must look out for our financial interests, however, I cannot help but feel for him. He was playing well and regularly and if it doesn’t work, will be sitting in the stands for half a season. That cannot be good for his mental well being. Just makes it feel a tad uncomfortable, when players are treated as assets rather than humans. I’m aware this is full of assumptions, and none of it may be true. |
 | Forum Reply | What is the deal with penalty run ups these days? at 16:44 6 Jan 2025
Not sure if it’s changed but it certainly used to be that they cannot stop as they are about to kick it (I.e. non-kicking foot being planted next to the ball). They could stop as part of the run up, but not the end of it.. |
 | Forum Reply | Wes Burns... at 10:54 5 Nov 2024
Clearing the Instagram grid is the new social media fashion. Celebs often do not do it because it’s part of their brand, hence it’s noticeable when our players do it. However, a lot of people clear old posts. Nothing to see, and a shame that a player of Wes’ importance to us is being put under a microscope. I’m what you may call a lurker, but for some reason, I felt I had to comment on this. |
 | Forum Reply | What’s wrong with Wes? at 17:24 18 Sep 2022
I love Wes and towards the end of the season he was unplayable but there were many games early on in the season where he contributed very little. He’s a huge asset and should be the first name on the team sheet because of what he can bring but he will have quiet games. On his day, there cannot be a better winger/wingback in this league. His pace (along with the ability to control the ball) is something we have craved for years. |

That is madness... The Holland one could be forgiven but the Wright one is just ludicrous! Would love to know how that got through!? |

So many fans have been asking for bespoke and unique kits, the club have delivered. Even if I didn’t like them I would be delighted that the club have gone in this direction. Credit to Umbro for going with it. I love the home shirt, I think it’s a great shirt. Retro is in, it’s a nod to a previous promoting and I think this will really sell. Away kit is good, it’s bespoke and is different. I like it for that reason! COYB! |

I wish that were true, I really hope he comes. I’m pretty sure it’s Evans vs Doncaster! |
 | Forum Reply | Ben Knight on loan at 14:17 13 Jun 2022
I really think half the crowd on a match day would have forgotten who he was.. I also think people were more annoyed that Evans (and whoever his puppet was at the time) did not move heaven and earth to keep him, rather than being annoyed at a 16 year old kid who moved from us to one of the best academies in the world. |

Always had a soft spot for him, I really wanted him to make it here. He managed to stick around the lower leagues and is apparently enjoying himself at Stowmarket! Clearly loves the game! |

My brother-in-law is a season ticket holder at QPR and he is gutted to lose him. Not the most technical but an absolute workhorse who makes others around him look better. He will not shy away from a battle and breaks up play, reading the game really well. |
 | Forum Reply | Why is it opposition supporters are always wrong about incoming players? at 12:33 3 Jun 2022
They are only wrong when it's negative... which I believe is the correct way to deal with it. You can see that everyone is happy to listen to the praise of Ball and lapping it up! It's human nature, we defend our own. We want to be successful and believe these new players will bring us success. We should be supporting them from the get-go and giving each new player a clean slate, if they prove the previous fans right, so be it but we should all be hoping they prove them wrong! In order to do that we need to support them from the off and make it as likely as possible for them to be a success! |
 | Forum Reply | Someone with good set piece delivery at 08:03 6 May 2022
I guess you could argue that our direct corners come to nothing, so why not try short! We notice when short corners don't pull off because they happen less often or the ball doesn't get into the box.. but how many corners have hit the first man this season!? Either way, we have been rubbish at corners! |
 | Forum Reply | Be interesting to see how it plays out with Ndaba/Baggott at 19:02 1 May 2022
I do hope Ndaba has a chance to prove himself next season, I have not seen him play for Salford but by all accounts, it has been a very successful loan spell. He may not be a wing-back but is clearly comfortable on the ball if he is playing LB as well as CB. I'm fairly confident he also played CM early in the season too? It does appear that we will have a very decent defence next season, that will be able to manage if there is an injury here and there. He is two or three years older than Baggott too, and so if Baggott can have a productive loan spell, that will look very promising for his career. |

I agree, I think the shouting and over-excitement would seem less obvious with better audio quality (whether that's the equipment, acoustics or being slightly removed from the microphone; I'm no expert). I think it's great to have a commentator designed for watching the game live, as well as giving an opportunity for up-and-coming commentators. Insights from players are always great, allows fans to feel more involved and closer to the club, IMO. |

That disconnect is a real issue, and Morsy has shown he is capable of driving us forward so that is definitely something to consider. I do feel like this has been a problem forever, how often have we seen our strikers so isolated up top? |
