It really wasn’t that bad - a few beers and scum chants and a beer can dribbling down the bonnet. What did they expect following the coach in after a publicised coach welcome? They may be old but they’re still complete melts. Embarrassing and ridiculous statement from them
What a joke. Concede 6 against blackpool so get rid of our only cover at CB and don't get ANY defenders in but 2 strikers and a midfielder instead. Awful transfer window. Rubbish dealings. What was all that crap with the haggling over an extra £5 for Davies when we blow £1.5 - £2.5 on Taylor. Clueless monkeys
Ha ha, most muppets on here seem to really believe that ME wants us to get promoted so he can get his debt repaid. Why we he want to do that when it is generally accepted that he is getting 8% interest a year. Where else is he going to get anything near that in the current climate? Expect things to get a lot worse. We were bought by a spurs fan only with interest in making money. He doesn't care about the club except to the extent that it is lining his pockets through debt and giving PR to the ME Group via us being part of his franchise. This club died when Sheepy screwed it up through a bit of bad luck but mostly appalling management and sold it down the river. We are now the longest standing Championship club and expect us to steer well clear of the Premiership while the debt stacks up (now over £60 million). ME doesn't want these deals to happen necessarily and Clegg who is a miserable snidey little turd with zero football experience does his bidding. All IMHO of course but heal not the only one who has deep suspicions of how this Club is being "run", see http://thetwounfortunates.com/ttu-season-preview-2012-13-financial-questions-at-
Agree with Muhrensleftfoot. Reading between the lines Derby got pissed off with our rubbish negotiating tactics (as did Davies). Clegg is not a commercial negotiator and is learning on the hoof. He's gone from paying whatever someone asks to trying to be hardnosed and failing badly. Guess Jewel must be pretty unhappy about missing out on his top target over nothing but Clegg's crap tactics. A bit embarrassing for him as well given his recent comments which made it clear he was in the bag. Don't know enough about Davies to comment on his value or worth but our dealings in the transfer market continue to let us down
"moving here to work with Roy again was a no-brainer" - why didn't he come in the summer when Roy tried to sign him up then? Clearly wasn't a no brainer and cash beat playing in and feeling part of a team.
I would like him to stay at the right price but no need to lie.
