Not sure Rushworth is the answer for anyone who wants a problem free keeper. Was horrific for Swansea at Portman Road when pressured and not very good with his feet at all.
We've spent good money on both Muric & Palmer and they are both perfectly adequate keepers for this upcoming level. We have more pressing need to spend our money on other areas of the team. |

The difference being we kept all bar Hladky of the side that played the most games the previous season on the staff.
I think people are still underestimating how hard it was to attract top players to a side 95% of people (correctly) expected to be relegated. |

It wasn't instant for me, but gradual realisation we may be cooked.
First half of the season I felt we had competed and had been unlucky a lot of the time and deserved a bigger points total than we had.
But for me it was just the gradual build up of non results/points gathered from the must win/winnable games against our rivals. I think that's my biggest dissapointment, we just didn't pull any of those off against the lesser teams.
Can't fault our effort this season. The gap was just bigger than even I realised and I had expected it to be big to begin with. |

Wolves were in a totally false position given their squad even when they were 18th imo.
Nothing they've done since reflects on us. We've just fallen well short ourselves. |

I'm less stressed about it than usual tbh.
It's not like 2002 where we were a carcass to be picked over. For sure there will be departures but we have no actual need to sell like we did then and Ashton will be selling players on our terms.
Plus we know we will spend big in championship terms this summer.
I've come to terms with modern footballs rotating door as well, you can easily see 10 signings again just with the need to replace returning loanees/player releases/sales etc. |

It's also just realism from 95% of fans about where we are, where we've been and the difficulty in competing on an even level with current resources/limitations. Plus it's obvious the players are giving it all they can, they've just been outlclassed in a few games.
I like to think most of us can see the bigger picture as well. |

Yeah, I don't think the quality of the top 3 or 4 is the highest it has ever been but this is probably the strongest the top flight has ever been in depth.
17th place team having 2 Brazilian internationals in midfield and a Spain international on the bench. |

I think in general we have at least competed well all season against teams with more resources and better players.
The biggest dissapointment for me in what I knew was always going to be a tough season would be like you say.. we haven't won any game against the non top 6 that had been earmarked as a potential win. |

Kelly Cates & Gabby Logan have been excellent presenters for the past 15 years, both would do a good job.
Given how much the BBC love box ticking I'm relieved it wasn't Alex Scott who isn't at their level. I'm not the biggest fan of Lineker but he developed into a decent presenter, given that his first couple of seasons presenting he was the most ill suited person to do it and was shocking at it. |

No they could match the buy back price and it would then be up to the player.
If you look at Philogene, Villa sold him to Hull for £5m and the buy-back was £13m. You would hope we would double our money at least. |
