Would we be here
at 14:13 4 Apr 2024

Mine was Brighton away when they used to play on the running track (I forget its name) finished 1-1 but Kuqi, who had an open goal to put it into near the end, stuck it over. Finished 3rd and you know the rest.

Phew! not just me then, was thinking the same thing.

So sanctimonious the lot of them. Thankfully not reflective of our fan base.

Its the TWTD forum, the OP has probably had to go and lie down in his safe space after hearing the chanting whilst watching a couple of Owen Jones vids on YouTube before being ready to join the world again.

Triple lock could add £45 billion to state pensions bill by 2020
at 09:40 8 Sep 2023

'paying wealthy pensioners benefits'

Horrendous attitude, people that have paid more in tax and NI than anyone are denied state pension because of far needier causes (which these rich old people have also paid more for than anyone).

Shameful.

I'm off to watch Colchester tonight

Yes this is true, I remember going back many many years, early 90s I think, when they were in the FA Shield final at Wembley (don't quote me on the comp but I think it was that) and there was a lot of excitement around the town and the general population of Colchester.

I always used to think there were a lot of people that used to walk around Colchester with Col U shirts on, it used to surprise me how many young people you would see in their colours. These numbers in the town werent reflected in their attendances however.

They arent helping themselves are they. I appreciate there is a sweet spot with prices but they seemed to have gone well past that with those numbers.

Ive just looked at their ticket prices for the stands that run along the side of the pitch (jobserve and something else) £32.25 for a ticket!!!! 4th division! unbelievable! and I thought QPR were taking the piss with their prices.

Train disruption
at 12:04 9 Mar 2023

Until 2nd weekend of April which I believe is Easter Weekend.

The way they are allowed to just shut that line for weekends on end EVERY winter is a scandal, no other line in the country is down as much as the line to Norwich. Its been that way for 20plus years as well and when you consider its a relatively short length of track it makes it even worse.

This all day long, I know we arent allowed to criticise Saint Rashford of Manchester but whenever I see him play I always think the same thing 'that boy could do a job in a mid table Championship team'

The fallout is beginning from Paris
at 16:37 30 May 2022

Yeah I suspect they are held in such high regard around the rational thinkers of these here parts (the TWTD message board) are for those 2 points you made in the first para!

You're right though the ones who suffer with the behavior of the minority (albeit a much much higher minority of any other British club) are the innocent fans that just want to go and watch the football.

Highly unlikely that there is pressure in France to investigate, with all due respect, one random on the train isn't going to be representative of the nation as a whole. No one will give to s***s about it, why would they its an English team and especially 'that' English team.

But you do pose an interesting question why is it always them, personally I despise them with every fiber as should most people of a certain age who remember them playing a big part in getting English teams banned from European football. As badly behaved as Chelsea/Rangers or whoever are when they hit the foreign larger this sort of thing happening is just a recurring theme with them. Clearly there is an issue with their fans storming fences, fake tickets and turning up without tickets, Andy Robertson interview makes interesting reading and supports one of these at least.

Never mind regardless of the findings from UEFA the same wont be accepted in this country and everyone in the media will pander around them like they always do.

Anyone had any joy fast tracking a passport renewal lately?
at 14:18 26 Apr 2022

A friend of mine flew to Belfast yesterday to renew at short notice as it was the only office in the UK that had slots available. She only needed the passport for her daughter to go for a weekend to Disney Land. Bat s**t mental if you ask me but there you go.

I was thinking the same thing on the train home. Like when are we going to bottom out and get so 5hit that the only way is up. I fear we are still a long way from that point.

The guys out of his depth IMO, he is fair way of L1 status. He seems to struggle to read the bounce or flight of the ball on such a regular basis its frankly ridiculous.

Today was probably one of his better games but still no where near good enough he never really looks like, nor has the confidence to score. In hindsight, it might have been wise to have let him have the peno to try and boost his confidence.

To think we actually paid a fee for him, let alone a figure over 1.5m, pretty much sums us up. As someone above said he is the sort of player that is crying to be loaned out but obviously we have no one to replace him so that isn't going to happen.

Has Season 2 of 'Making a Murderer' been discussed on here?
at 11:39 13 Dec 2018

This is it isnt it, working on the assumption that the family have seen both series, you would think they would want answers. They must know the real killer(s) are still at large and probably living in the local community.
