Seems they’re allowing the children to get it, completely forgetting that many older members of the public work as teachers and, in my school particularly, teaching assistants and volunteers |

Bust the gate down the bottom of the park. Fircroft Road entrance. Usual way in for ambulances etc |

Correct. More and more arriving, quite a few caravans appearing in local roads. |

Me and a mate are planning on going away for a month next year. We are open to the idea of moving around countries in a continent, such as Asia, or exploring one in more depth. We don't currently have preferences on where we would go and are only in the initial stages of looking. I've been looking at South America, North America, Asia and even Europe today, but I am trying to work out which we could do within our budgets and time scale/time of year. We are restricted to August as I teach, so this may impact recommendations! We are expecting to have maximum budgets of 5k each. Does anyone have any recommendations for places that you've been and done something similar, or could share any tips? And is it worth booking on to travelling companies that sort things out for you or to book things individually? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Seems to be more this year than previous ones up Whitton / Castle Hill way, come out around 8pm then usually don't see them after 9.30pm ish. Remember being told when I was little that they try to get in your hair and if they manage it you have to cut it out, probably a myth though! |

I'm currently training to be a teacher and work in a supermarket on the weekends. When customers ask what i'm doing at Uni and I tell them they always make a comment about how lucky I am with the holidays and free time I must get. Pure ignorance. From the outside it may seem that way but it couldn't be further from the truth. As trainee's we can get put on a placement anywhere within 2 hours of Sheffield. One poor girl got put in Manchester and had to leave at 6 in the morning not getting back till 7 at night. That's without considering the marking and planning she had to do. I'm not complaining, I absolutely love teaching and the rewards that come with it but I wish people would think a little. It's no surprise that the dropout rate is massive and there is a teacher shortage at the minute. |
