By the time he started talking to other clubs (with our blessing), it was clear that we were going to be relegated.
Given that he was going to be off anyway, and the transfer fee was essentially fixed, it was in the club's interest to get it done ASAP. |

Yes, Westlake certainly had a good engine. Used to be a decent water polo player too, I believe.
