We recruited 2 experienced classy midfielders in Phillips & Cajuste, which showed that we meant business in the Premier League. Phillips has really contributed almost nothing due to his fitness/injury issues. Cajuste looks a Rolls Royce of a midfielder, but he too has been restricted by his ongoing knee injury. If these 2 had been available at their best for most of the season, I'm sure we would have avoided relegation. |

Naively I thought we’d do OK this season. OK I wasn’t expecting Europe but maybe 15th. The gap proved to be too much. Nevertheless I do think we disappointed. Many of the new signings didn’t seem to improve us. That combined with injuries to key players and what did seem to be bias towards the established teams has done for us. I really think and hope we’ll come back stronger next time. No hiding place for Kieran as this time we will be expecting promotion. |

So we’ve had 3 wins in 28 games. Probably need 5 or 6 wins in our last 10 . I’m not generally pessimistic but I really don’t see it happening . I hope with all my heart that I’m wrong |

A decent performance but again no end product. The writing is on the wall for us. If Wolves win this evening it’s pretty much over. Last season the fine margins and luck seemed to fall our way, but not at all this season. If/when we are relegated, there is no guarantee we’ll go straight back up again, but I would certainly look forward to seeing us win more games than we lose. I’ve not enjoyed seeing my team lose game after game. |
