McKenna: We Didn’t Defend a Couple of Moments Well Enough
at 12:41:36

Kieran doesn't make many mistakes, but I think he did today. For the 8 mins or so of time added on, he should have brought Tuanzebe on to shore up our defence, which was starting to look suspect as Cardiff were attacking more. Davis quite rightly gets lots of plaudits for his attacking play and assists, but I'm not impressed with him as a defender. Woolfie and Clarke too, are prone to moments when they lack concentration.

Cardiff City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report

A perfect McCarthy’esq away performance for 90 minutes, but the last few minutes, oh dear. I fear our defensive frailties will cost us automatic promotion. Sickening result.

McKenna: I Really Enjoyed It, a Tough Game, a Proper Game
at 20:16:58

Brilliant from Kieran. What a great result! After Wednesday night at Millwall what time did they get to bed that night. A light training session Thursday then back in the coach for a long road trip Friday. How have they managed to prepare for a tough away game Saturday? A perfect dogged away performance that Big Mick would’ve been proud of, but certainly not typical of Ipswich these days. Brilliant that we can adapt. Hopefully that will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season

McKenna: Another Game We Feel We've Done Enough to Win
at 16:58:06

What an entertaining game. Must have been a good watch for the neutral on Sky. I thought we were superb at times, but once again undone by poor defensive mistakes . WBA are a very good side. Could well be playing them again in the playoffs. Nothing to fear though, we were the better side.

I really don’t think we should be signing a 33 year old full back even as a stop gap. Surely we can do better than that

McKenna: Credit to Maidstone, a Horrible Game to Lose
at 16:45:23

A bit disappointed he didn’t apologise for this abject performance. I do appreciate he tries to stay on the level, but this was the most embarrassing result in my life as a fan, and I saw my first game in 1967. In the wider sense it may not be too important as we probably weren’t going to win the cup, but this will live long in the history of cup upsets. I’m sure in private he will recognise the dreadful performances of Broadhead, and Aluko. Aluko is well past his best, and Broadhead hasn’t been on his game for weeks. Aluko should retire and Broadhead should not be first choice on his current form. There were other poor performances today too. My hope is that this result does not affect our confidence in the league. The games against Sunderland and Leicester gave me hope that we can stay in the top two. PNE away and WBA at home in the next two games will be markers.

Broadhead should donate this weeks wages to charity. Utterly appalling performance from him. Aluko and Taylor too, were awful.

We were 2nd best in the first half. Glad we went in just 1 nil down. 2nd half completely different. Credit to the team and KMcK for coming back strongly. Subs did brilliantly. Vaz man of the match.

Charlton Hoping to Complete Ladapo Signing Today
at 10:27:04

He's been a great signing for us, although not quite in "Town Legend" status. Very good goals per game ratio. His performances do seem to have dropped off recently when given an opportunity. Wish him all the best at Charlton

Blues Linked With Moore Loan Return
at 18:19:44

We used to call him the lamp post when he was at Portman Road due to the fact he was taller than everyone else and didn’t move much. Possibly a bit unfair as his career improved considerably after he left us. Could do a job for us whilst Hirst is out.

Delia and Husband Issue Statement on Car Incident
at 21:10:12

There’s just so much wrong with this. Firstly the stupidity of Delia and co to follow the Town coach in, knowing full well there was a big home contingent there. Secondly was the moronic behaviour of a few that thinks it’s acceptable to throw stuff at their car. And thirdly to issue a belated statement expressing their disappointment at the lack of apology for their own stupidity for not following advice.

McKenna: We'll Learn From Defeat and Quickly Move On
at 20:00:06

One of those days, hope we don’t have too many more. Leeds excelled, probably their best performance of the season. For us probably the worst. Hopefully it doesn’t knock our confidence too much and we are back to the Ipswich we have come to expect on Boxing Day. In perspective what a great half season. Same again for the 2nd half and we’re guaranteed Premier League

Hirst: A Lesson Learned
at 09:27:53

It's been a great start to the season. To lose our first away game of the season in late November against a very good side with an excellent home record, and probable promotion candidates is no disgrace. Yes, we weren't at our best, but for a long period of the 1st half we were the better side. The early goal in the 2nd half, from our corner, seemed to affect us. Put this one down to experience, and carry on doing what we've been doing so well.
