Championship Play-Off Final being moved to June 2nd if....
at 18:29 18 Mar 2024

That's absolutely correct. I've got the playoff final date marked on my Calendar so neither me nor the missus books anything. Fingers and toes crossed now. I'll be cheering for Man Utd for the first time in my life.

I’m booked on a flight for holidays 2nd June. I really hope all the possibilities don’t conspire against me…..

I still haven't got over it yet. Would have been top of the league over the international break. Pleased to say the team seem to be over it though, judging by the magnificent performance Saturday

Leeds

Is that 12 wins and 1 draw in their last 13 game? Much as I have disliked them ever since the Don Revie days, that’s pretty impressive. Sickening isn’t it. We need to better Leicester results over the last few games, because Leeds unfortunately look imperious.

Lets face it - today is a must win if we want autos (n/t)
at 12:34 16 Mar 2024

It’s been a long time since Leeds lost a game. For us, our very tough away fixtures at Norwich, Coventry and Hull make me think we’re nailed on for playoffs. Looking forward to my first ever visit to the new Wembley (been to old Wembley a few times). Automatic is of course possible but it will need something exceptional. Think we will fall just short.

Clarke will be back in on Tuesday night v Bristol City. Don't think Kieran will risk Axel's fitness with a full 90 mins Saturday and again on Tuesday

The last away game - Swansea - it froze at 29 mins in. Not just me, but for many others if not everyone. I missed their goal and Chaplin's. Found out just before half time that bizarrely it was working if you chose the With Subtitles option from the menu. Watched the 2nd half with massive subtitles.

Crowds
at 11:19 26 Feb 2024

Back in the 1970s and early 80's we were a joy to watch too, and of course playing at the top level, so it's not immediately obvious why crowds are better now. I can only think it's down to football in general being more popular than back then.

Leicester have thrown this one away
at 22:09 23 Feb 2024

Poor outcome for us. A draw would have been better. Still, we can never rely on anyone else so all we can do is win tomorrow and keep the pressure on. Looking on the optimistic side, we could be chasing down both Leicester and Leeds now. Maybe both 1st and 2nd places are up for grabs.

Andreas Brehme RIP
at 12:53 20 Feb 2024

Yes RIP, but I always remember the jammy goal he scored against England at Italia 90 in the semi finals. His shot following their free kick hit the wall, and looped up over Shilton into the net. England went on to lose on penalties which was the lowest moment for me as an England fan to date.

Next Ipswich manager....
at 10:43 10 Feb 2024

I'd bring back Mick McCarthy. It's gone down hill since he left. Can't get a seat on the train from Felixstowe on matchdays, can't buy an away ticket for love nor money, queues at all the food and drink outlets at the ground. Often I could sit anywhere I wanted rather than my allotted seat. Never on TV, so match kick offs didn't change from 3pm Saturday. We used to have a team of proper blokes, even if they were rather limited talent wise. No, it's a right nightmare these days....

Chances of seeing Al Hamadi on the pitch at some point at Preston?

Be very surprised. He'll be back from the Iraqi squad probably Thurs. No time to train really as travelling to Preston Friday. KMK will want to have a week with him at least. On the bench for his debut against WBA as sub

Sheffield Wednesday/Coventry v Maidstone

Rotten luck for them. They deserve a good away game at Man City or Liverpool. They were a tad disappointed to be away at Ipswich last round, but Cov or Sheff Wed is really poor.

Didn't someone on here post something a few days go about an Italian striker from Sampdoria? I take it that was someone making stuff up?

Most of those mentioned, particularly Andre Dozzell and Dean Bowditch. I'll add Bontcho Genchev. Also Connor Wickham

I don't think abandoning the match or forfeit of the match would be correct. If it can be done, find the culprits and ban them for life. If that can't be done, then maybe force the club to play behind closed doors for a game, perhaps allowing away fans only

Down to third then :(
at 21:52 20 Jan 2024

Understandable why there’s a few jitters especially since Southampton keep winning. Just remember we are on a mission, and the management from owners to CEO to team manager are committed. There are loads of twists and turns to come. Leicester may struggle with players missing. Southampton are on a great run, but there’s difficulty ahead. We take it a game at a time and never change our philosophy. We’ll keep picking off those wins and I really believe we’ll be top two come May.

Very strong line up, quite unexpected. No Williams at all, so reckon we won't see him again. A pity as he looked class when he was on his game
