Ipswich Town 4-0 Gillingham - Match Report
at 17:22:43

Lets keep our feet firmly on the ground. Early days but what a turnaround from last year! Lambert has assembled and engendered a team thank look capable of getting us back to the championship and beyond. Winning and not losing is now the key to confidence and and consistency. It will be great when the team forwards can score more prolifically. Getting Norwood back should ensure this if he lives up to his fantastic reputation. But I'll one nil's for now thank you THE BLUES!

Bury Expelled From EFL as Bolton Have 14 Days to Complete Takeover
at 15:25:51

The whole of the EFL need to look long and hard at the way off the 'haves' and the 'have nots'. The top clubs owe their poorer neighbours the surety that they do not get into this predicament. Literally millions of pounds separate these divisions because of the likes of SKY. It is an abhorrence that this should be allowed to happen to such a club as Bury with its history.
For those who knock ME be ashamed of yourselves because without him we might well be in the same boat with the terrible rules of the EFL. I lay the blame at their door because they have allowed the separation to become as great as it is due to money. I hate to think what lies below the surface which the supporters never see.

Lambert: Deserved Point, Some Good Moments, Some Not So Good Moments
at 16:54:14

I suggest the Betty blue goes on holiday and decides to support another side. Your comments do nothing for the good of the club. Lambert is doing his best with limited funds and yes there are replacements needed but remember we have very good players on the way back. As supporters we have to "stick together through thick and thin". This is the time for this to happen. COYBS.

I'm not sure you can be an ITFC supporter raycrafordswig! Its nothing to do with money. We must just hope he recovers quickly as he appears to be a quality player. THE CLUB IS GOING THROUGH A BAD PERIOD AND WE HAVE TO BE AS SUPPORTIVE AS WE CAN. I can remember other periods like this even in Bobby Robson's time when injuries cost us dear but eventually the club went on to win trophies. So give positive support and wish the guy gets better quickly even though its disappointing news. OKAY!

Lambert: Evans Should Tell the Fans What’s Going On
at 15:33:40

What are you mumbling on about londontractorboy57
Your comments don't make any sense. Everyone has an opinion especially if it makes sense!
We the fans have no idea what is really happening at boardroom level. Yes our ME has put millions into the club but that is the nature of the game. Its how those millions are used by the management team. Our financial management team don't seem to be doing a particularly good job. Too many bad decisions have cost us large amounts of money. ME must back PL properly or there is no way we will progress. It is glaringly obvious we have to pay big bucks to get in quality players in strategic positions. So ME how about it?!

Lambert Expresses Transfer Frustrations: It's the Way the Club's Run
at 16:36:36

I thought I said it all when I made my earlier thoughts known! There are so many of us who feel the same but owners don't grow on trees. At this point in time who would want this club unless they were at one time ardent followers. Are there any foreign businessmen with a memory of our club in its heyday when we beat Barcelona and the likes of Man Utd 6-3. If you're out there please buy ME out asap PLEASE.

Lambert Expresses Transfer Frustrations: It's the Way the Club's Run
at 14:19:34

Terribly depressing. I think PL needs a counsellor from what I saw this morning. I think we all do! Living in Norfolk I have an ear to what goes on beyond Suffolk. Recently Wes Hoolahan told a close friend that he couldn't believe how our club has dropped in quality. We could have had him years ago had we stonked up the money. He really liked our club. He made this comment after playing for Cambridge against us. He thought it sad!
ME has to get out of football ownership asap. He just hasn't the stomach for it. All we have seen under his ownership is a steady decline in the quality of football. Yes he has lost money but that is inevitable in the short come. He just isn't willing to jump in fully and also get some quality management who know the game well enough to not make mistakes as he has done. Our neighbours have managed it so why can't we? We are leaking our talented players and not replacing them! I feel so sorry for PL. He's only been with us for such a short time and already he looks ready to leave. But can you blame him, with an owner like ME. He saved us once so what's stopping him now? Perhaps it is........
TIME TO GO AND PLEASE FIND US A NEW OWNER QUICKLY MARCUS BEFORE WE SLIP DOWN FURTHER ! Thank you Paul for hanging on. The fans love you.

Cambridge United 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 15:35:14

I am seriously worried that we seem to be lacking little guile and that we also have the left over arrogance of playing beneath us attitude. We should be be able to score against teams like Cambridge! Confident teams are not arrogant but simply play their own game and usually win similar contests. Reacting to fouls is a sure sign of arrogance and an unstable character. The club needs to discipline him Downes as well as the league. No player is bigger than the club!!. The likes of our superstars in the past were far more professional and handled situations better. I'm thinking of Beats Hunter Whymark and so many others who I had the fortune to watch week in week out home and away. Nip it in the bud Paul and don't hold back. Football is to be played professionally not by highly paid thugs. COYBS

This sounds like bad business again. Cost 750 sell 450 another loss. He's still young but hey ho what do we know. He should have been given more time especially in Div 1. Still we will have to see. Good luck to him but not against us!!!

Town Set for Windfall as Clarke Edges Closer to Brighton Move
at 07:16:50

Yes I am very sad to see a great deal of our former players young and older being sold off but looking at our closest rivals they seem to be doing really well after selling their best players. Sadly it does look like their management set up is much better than ours these days.
We have to take the small positives from these scraps that we are getting but please ME invest this money on the team where it is desperately needed down the spine of the team.

Town Set for Windfall as Clarke Edges Closer to Brighton Move

This has been the story of ITFC. Sell cheaply all our best players and end up in the third tier of football and it seems to be escalating. Soon we will be unable to retain anyone with talent. Sad times. Last season epitomised our current way of of business dealings. Sometimes I just want to weep at the talent we have allowed to pass through our books.
Perhaps PL can change that this season and start retaining our talent and build on it rather than throw it away for a pittance.

I'm surprised he wants to consider League 1 after playing in the Scottish Premiership! He sounds like the kind of guy we need although I am a little concerned with his lack of height. However if his legs are strong its likely he will be able to rise to the occasion. Only time will tell.

Norwood at Town to Complete Move
at 17:45:22

Brilliant. Just hope he doesn't get cold feet. Let's hope Lambert has another Grant Holt on his hands only this time he will be playing for us. Once a goal goal scorer always a goal scorer. History tells us that and I've seen a lot of those in my 60+ years supporting this club.
I'm looking forward again to the new season after a real downer. COYB.

Norwood Coy on Future as Tranmere Secure Promotion to League One
at 07:43:43

PL is a shrewd manager. He's looking for another Grant Holt to do the business up front. Similar stats make me optimistic about this player. I remember when we lost out to getting Houlahan down to money AGAIN! He supplied their forwards for years at Norwich at our expense. If Pl can do that for us this year I will be chuffed. We need several players not just one. All we can do is to wait and hope PL does a similar job for us. It won't be easy especially when you see Sunderland struggling.

Adkins: Keane Contract Option to Be Discussed at End of Season
at 11:24:41

Blueboy 81 Couldn't agree more. I've been banging on about this for an age now. NC scouting system has paid them dividends with free transfers and low fees for players. We must start looking back at the way we did business in the late 70's and eighties. Go abroad for some hungry players who do not cost high agent and transfer fee. I am of the opinion we need some experienced players to add to our squad to bring on the young talent we have. We can't afford that from our country but they are out there on the continent. If we had had a player like Pukki who didn't cost a fortune we wouldn't be going down. What we need now are some european scouts who know their business. There are so many countries to choose from including Poland Germany and the Balkans. So come on Marcus and Co support Lambert properly and widen our horizons!

Lambert: Wait and See What Happens at the End of the Season
at 14:34:09

Duly 38 spot on. We must also try to hang onto the likes of Judge as well and players who do not get injured on a regular basis. It will be an interesting summer and I just hope the clearance take place quickly and the new players get a chance early on to gel together before the start of a new era at Portman Road. Its long overdue. If you want roses to do well you have to prune back harshly and it pays dividends for the years ahead. That's what must now happen to get the Robson years back with PL in charge.
