Bite size chunks. If we can close to within 5-6 pts with 10 games to go and then see where we are. Close 5-6 points over the next 12 games sounds a lot more plausible. Even if we were 7-8 pts off with 10 to go we would still be considered contenders.
I've never heard anything like this. The P!ss taking certainly stops here. I have absolutely no sympathy for anybody being shown the door. They have all had multiple chances to perform. Who knows maybe the shockwave might stimulate something tomorrow.
Love it. Yes its frustrating where we are now. But as a fan who remembers the good days I am going to enjoy the Nostalgia. Living in the North East I don't get to PR often these days so will chuck some money at this.
Totally agreed with Emyr. My 26 year old son is just about to qualify and will probably be thrown straight into the front line next month. Its all very concerning and frightening. There should be more high profile please such as this.
Sunderland got new owners because the outgoing owner paid of all the debt. However Sunderland need to go up this season as they will not be able to sustain the current squad as their Premier league parachute payments will be gone.
To a certain extent he is right I feel we played well at Norwich, Leeds and Middlesbrough. What we have lacked at the key times is that bit of quality to tip the balance our way. We are relying on fine margins and luck which are not falling at the moment. With regards the defence it is like we now need an injury to force MM's hand and get Chambers out of Right back. This will balance the play over both flanks and not soley rely on getting the ball left and expecting Mings to deliver week in week out.
Clearly the hope has to be that Williams fulfills the palace fans hype and supplies the ammunition for SEB to start scoring again. Problem is then that Willimams goes back...........
The daft thing is we are not that far away from at least challenging the play offs. Yes we finished 15 points away but by sprinkling in say 3 wins during the bad run would have made it an inconsistant run and would have meant that with 4/5 games to we would have been in with a shout. I accept massive improvement should be strived for but surely we can at least maintain a passing interest in the top 6/8 positions a bit longer next season.
Jessuz. Nothing like getting behind your own players. I sincerely hope our players dont visit this site. Support the players not slag them off. You never know they might just play better.
