Genuine question what was the point of the £30m release clause.
That’s isn’t in City’s interest.
Market value at best is say £40m so in reality why was the clause there? |

I'm with you Sitters.
However lets be honest here. We have failed miserably at this level.
Ultimately our transfer business has not addressed the key area of central midfield and we have paid the price.
I am a huge Kieran Mckenna fan. I trust him to get it right.
I do worry though that we may initially splutter in August / September before we get it right and the doom merchants will spout toxic noise.
We are all disappointed about how this season has played out but 2 points this season from next years promotion rivals is a poor return and you cant Sugar coat that stat at all.
Simply turning up next season will not cut muster. Its a big summer ahead if we are to bounce back in the way we all want. |

By and large I agree.
I have actually enjoyed seeing Ipswich at the Top Table after 22 years.
They need to relax promoted clubs FFP budgets to allow them to compete for the good of the game.
Leeds actually had 9/23 home 3 pm kick offs - 2 of which were Bank Holidays.
I do think we will beat Norwich at last? |

The largely incompetent rest that followed is well documented. However it all can be traced back prior to 2010 when Cameron was given the leadership.
The in Tory infighting by the likes of the smug Francois, Ress Mogg, Duncan Smith that basically forced Cameron to put the Brexit referendum in place as his quid pro quo for the leadership backing. |

A couple of years ago I remember leaving Spennymoor at 10.45 at night after an evening game there. Kings Lynn were the opponents and I thought Wow that's some trek at that time of night.
Like any level of football I am afraid budget is everything.
In terms of geography I think the National league should be fed by 3 divisions. With 16 teams in each. 3 divisional winners go up with a play off winner from the 3 divisions.
Most teams in National North and South are reluctant to go up. You need to be well funded to take on the burden of all the extra travel at National level. |

I was a match official on their visit to South Shields.
Canny set of Lads and had a brief chat with their mgr about Ipswich after the game.
Its shame as it looked like had the season started in Jan they may have stayed up. |

He is on his journey, our journey. The Journey probably now enters its most critical phase.
We have stuck together well as a club through a tough season.
The plan is clear and obvious as a club we are so fortunate.
We basically recruited poorly in midfield.
Probably the first mistep this ownership have made.
For sure both Mckenna, Ashton and gamechanger deserve our support. |
