Pretty sure they're likely to have a transfer embargo too?

If we had some clarity over offsides and could get unanimous agreement on the threshold for giving a striker the benefit of the doubt, I'd be more than happy for VAR to be used properly for these kind of scenarios like Gnonto's goal.

Yeah but there's difference between winning them all to guarantee them and winning them all just to have a chance at automatics.

I dunno, I just think, once again, Sky do everything they can to dramatise the whole situation and it's not fair on any of the teams at the top IMO.

I do think the tight ground of Loftus Road will pose more problems for Leeds as there won't be 20-30 yards of space to get in behind.

Very small pitch indeed. Won't make it easy for Leeds to get in behind them.

They've actually conceded fewer goals than Boro too. It's scoring them that's been the main problem for Rangers.

I think it's the way the schedule's fallen that's not helping the psyche of our fans. I don't think it's been kind to us whatsoever. A fortnight of watching your closest rivals pile more and more pressure on your results and potentially making Hull a must-win from the get-go.

I'd love to know what the league would look like had we all played the last 3-4 games at the same time as each other.

Will you be disappointed…

I think there's a natural fear of failure and the vultures then circling around our manager and best player(s).

If you could tell me McKenna would be here for at least another 12 months come what may, I might be considerably more relaxed about the situation.

Dya know what? For me, it's more the fact we've been top two for most of the sodding season. If we were West Brom or even Southampton with an outside chance of top two I'd be far more sanguine. Victims of our own success, of course.

Ffs Boro, after Bosco Jankovic in 1981
at 22:59 22 Apr 2024

Yeah we did. And most coaches this side of the New Year have reverted to shutting up shop and giving them very little space in behind. Boro couldn't have been more obliging tonight, despite looking dangerous at times themselves. Was just no way they were going to get a result playing that way though.

Just hoping the tight Loftus Road pitch makes it a congested, frustrating evening for Leeds.

Not winning one of those two home games is absolutely the difference between being home and hosed and staring down the barrel. Even winning one and losing one would have worked out better than two draws (stating the obvious, I know).

No I think you've nailed why 3 wins is such a tall order.

Winning three on the bounce in this league is hard at the best of times but doing it with so much on the line... I dunno. You can't compare last season to this either. This is a serious prize at stake.

I hope and pray we're all over our illnesses and can use this fortnight to regain our sharpness.

Surely you start nice and tight and compact, not finish the game like that?! I dunno. I know it was expecting a lot of a team to try when there's little on the line, but it just felt like Carrick couldn't have helped us any less tonight. Just right into Leeds' hands.

Was interesting how lacklustre Leeds were without Rutter and Summerville on the pitch at the end.

I don't get it. Boro came out like they didn't care how many the conceded first half. The entire 2nd half they've just passed sideways, kept the ball and slowed the tempo right down.

My head's gone over the way they've approached this. Did Carrick really think his mid table fodder could out-play them in an end to end contest?!

NOW they play a nice, controlled style, one goal down! Absolutely ridiculous.

Carrick is doing himself no favours whatsoever. So naive. Everyone knows Leeds are deadly on the transitions.

Why are they SO gung ho and loose today with nothing on the line but not against us when they had a top six chance?

Useless bells.

Oh and Matt Clarke is like a fecking oil tanker.

You didn't watch mid-table Sunderland deserve a draw at Leeds a couple of weeks ago, then?

Don't write Boro off just yet.

QPR away certainly won't be easy for them. Loftus Road is one of the smallest/tightest pitches in the league which will somewhat negate the strengths of their team.

As a side note - we have the second biggest pitch in the league. Second only to whom? Yep, you guessed it, Hull. Should be like a home-from-home experience!
