I do sometimes watch his stuff. It follows a format, so you know what you’re going to get. I think it’s fine. I think it’s very sad that people need to abuse somebody full stop. Looks like it has upset him which is a great shame. To Alex, if you read this stuff, keep doing what you’re doing. You enjoy it, you provide a nice little slot for a local cafe/business, and others obviously watch and enjoy your output. Don’t let them get you down. And uppa Towen |

Watching it and have paused at 40:39 as have things to do. So been explaining to my partner who is new to football who Pat is, and how she is a thread through everything. She has watched the first 40 minutes and thoroughly enjoyed every word.
Until (I think) 2008 we were a club, at the centre of our community, where fans felt a part of it and proud to be a supporter of such a club. Whilst we now operate in a corporate world, and are owned by foreign investors, I believe that sense of belonging, being a part of Everything, of being a member of the club has returned. I don’t feel that I am being rinsed of every shilling when I go to the ground. Our legends are honoured. Our history is cherished. Our community is valued.
Everybody who is playing a part - thank you. What a time to be alive. |

I think the philosophy of the coaching and the way the team are set up to play is the major factor. Our system is expansive, positive, easy on the eye. After a decade or so of grinding out results. This team are coached to a system that is attacking, generally plays the ball on the floor, is fast at times, the important times. It’s innovative. We had a number of seasons of either poor coaching, or defence based coaching. That sucked the life out of the beautiful game.
At some point we will find our level,and I’m afraid that will probably be below the clubs who have serious financial backing like Cty, NUFC. Etc. at 5hat point I NEVER want to see us again approach every game scared to impose our system on others. Yes we can of course go to selected games and look to steal a point or even three. But I want to go to home games and see a team given belief and trust, and coaching to take our game to the opposition as the default at the start of games.
About three weeks ago we played premiership Wolves at home. 0-2 after 15 mins or whatever it was. I don’t doubt Sir Kieran of McKenna tweaked things. But we didn’t abandon a positive outlook. And we prevailed [Post edited 11 Oct 2023 13:01]

Has an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time. Scored more or less a goal every other game since arriving and through this season. Don’t know what he has to do to turn some boo boys around |

Does that mean you were being partly serious then? I think a problem with the internet is that it is two dimensional, and the ability to infer, and detect irony is significantly reduced.
Football, and our club in particular is something we are all passionate about. We should perhaps remember that everybody wants the best for the club (well those who support the club do anyway). The op made his post at 25 past three during the game, and I think admitted before your post that he got caught up in the emotion. Your post doesn’t add anything to the debate. you are aggressively telling him he is wrong
You are not alone. Whilst I have addressed this to you, you are by no means the only one, and I don’t think you are the worst. It happens far too often. This is a forum. The ability to discuss and debate without resorting to name calling, threats etc, is the mark of a mature adult. The standard of this forum is less than it should be due to a number of prolific posters who want to control certain discussions. Most of them, including you are intelligent, mature and often make valid, good points. But the addition of name calling, or offers of violence undermines things
