| News Comment | Pompey Winding Up Order Confirmed as Talks Continue at 18:27:49
Over here in Ireland the word ``on the street'' is that Michael Owen of Manchester United is on his way to Ipswich Town. He is a friend of Paul Jewell and Marcus Evans. Any news over there folks ? |
| News Comment | Jewell Hugely Disappointed at 21:50:38
I have been travelling over from Ireland since 1968 to watch Town, by beloved Town and never in my life have I seen such a woeful Ipswich Town side as I did today. I have suffered a lot of abuse from my friends in Ireland as many of them support Mun Utd, Liverpool, Celtic etc, but Ipswich are my team and always will be. I am making an appeal tp the manager to do the decent thing and walk away tomorrow. I find it difficult to understand why he brought in so many ``has beens'' and indeed ``never has beens''. He has brought our once proud club to its knees. Paul Jewell was out of the game for to long when he was appointed manager. He is living in the past. Hopefully he will do the right thing and walk tomorrow, because if not we are heading to Division One. |

| News Comment | Quartet Out of Hull Trip at 14:57:33
Change of goalkeeper for Saturday. Brian Murphy will replace Fullop, which is good because the Hungerian has been somewhat off colour recently. |
| News Comment | Livermore Joins On Loan at 17:59:19
Roy to get his home draw at long last. Town to get Manchester United at Portman Road. It's written in the stars for the Gaffer. |
| News Comment | O\'Dea Out of Irish Squad at 17:29:42
With Brian Murphy not involved on the international scene this week, surely he must be in line to replace Marton Fulop againt Portsmouth. I think he has been away with Hungary, travelling all over the place. He did not appear to clever when he came charing off his line against Palace when they scored. He also had a few dodgy moments against Bristol. |
| News Comment | O\'Dea Fit Enough to Make Armenia Trip at 17:08:14
The Irish lads are made of tough stuff. He will be grand. For heaven sake can anyone over there get Mr Keane to get Brian Murphy back in goal. Fulop looked a bit dodgy at times againt Palace and Bristol City. ``Murph'' for Pompey I say ! |
| News Comment | Derby\'s Hulse and Gio Linked Again at 16:00:27
Would love to see Santos back at the club. He would give everyone a massive boost, loan or no loan. Hulse a pretty ordinary player. Prisken a waste of space. |
| News Comment | Murphy Surprised By Ireland Call at 17:55:49
Brian Murphy is the best goalkeeper to play over here in the League of Ireland since a guy called Peter Thomas played for Waterford F.C back in the 70s.Peter was also capped for Ireland. Brian is excellent dealing with cross ball's and he is a brilliant shot stopper. He could have been a very fine rugby player and indeed a hurler and Gaelic footballer. He kept 64 clean shhets during his 97 games with Bohemians. |
| News Comment | Keane Looking for Town to Push On at 15:33:13
Glad Noel Hunt is not playing against us on Saturday. He would give our defenders lots of problems if he was fit. Brian Murphy has won the League of Ireland Cahampionship over her with Bohemians. He should be on his way to Ipswich sometime next week |
