Facebook (which in fairness hardly ever deals with reported breaches of their guidelines anyway) will not now do any fact checking, but will rely upon "community notes" like Musk's twitter. Another very dangerous step in the direction of the far right and the "right to freely speak" irrespective of whether it is dangerous and dishonest. Be afraid.

Couple this with Trump threatening military action to get the territory he wants, including an open threat to a Nato member. Putinesque.

We are in very very dangerous times.

I am watching LA Confidential for the first time in 20 years. What an absolutely cracking film it is.

I have paid little attention to cinema or films for years. Not least because Netflix and series have taken over, and every other film is some twot in spandex with lots of CGI...
