Indeed. I coached for years. There were perhaps 4 teams in the league with girls playing (including mine). But only 1 or 2 in each.
Only three years ago was there first a local girls team to join that played in a girls league. |

Bear in mind the pool of players from which those who are currently professional was very small. Even now, there are vastly more boys (or mixed) teams than girls teams. It is probably only around now, that we are beginning to see a decent proportion of female players who have played with teams since they were young and have been well coached from an early stage. Time to get this sorted. Ridiculous pantomime every game. Duke need to up their game, and we need some clear guidance and rules about how often you can ask for a ball change, and consequences for repeat unsuccesful requests. |

Having got them out it seems sad to let any go. Equally, they have not been worn for years are are most unlikely to be worn any time soon and take up a whole shelf in the wardrobe.

Unfortunately, I seem to have lost some classics along the way- I think my original 92 shirt, 95 away shirt, and original 99 home shirt all were ruined when stored in a damp garage after a temporary house move. Not sure what happened to my old french style red stripe across the chest one |

I am shortly moving and in the process of identifying and removing clutter and stuff that I have hung onto but, realistically, haven't actually used in any way for years.
I have a stack of old shirts. Most will probably never fit well again. Even if they did, I am not likely to wear them. Looking on ebay there are some crazy prices being asked but I strongly suspect that most are just chancers putting a high price on something, rather than figures that will realistically be achieved. What is the realistic ball park for older shirts? Surely they dont really go for hundreds? |

You really never see that given. She is well on when the ball is next played by an opponent. New phase.
Awful. Though not as bad as against France, where I have still not seen anyone explain why offside was given when the (highly questionable) digital picture shows no part of the England player ahead of the French player's hip. |

One player off side but ball didn treach her and was played by an opponent before she subsequently picked it up.

Accepted or not, its nonsense. Vinyl records are an anachronism in many ways, and the use of that word comes from a misunderstanding of how it was used back when they were actually the main source of recorded music.
They may as well just scratch nails down a chalkboard 3 inches form my ear whilst whistling an inane tune. The world should be how I want it.

The quote you are using is about the action of protest so it works. Its not specific to a thing- ie "he doth protest against noise pollution, too much". The equivalent would be "methinks he does protest noise pollution" which is the clumsy awkward thing Im complaining about.
I have just been asked by a website to "shop our sale". Grrrr. |

You cannot "protest" a thing. You can protest about it, or against it. Or even over it. But you can't just protest it. That is grammatically silly and a nasty Americanism which we ought to protest against.
