So with Town in the Championship next season, who do we think (and want to) win the playoffs and join Cardiff and Muff in bring relegated to league one.

Personally I’d like to see someone other than Sheff Utd go up, maybe Bristol City although Sheff Utd will be strong next season and therefore stiff competition for Town.

I’d like to see Preston or Stoke go down.

Greaves is a liability and Morsy is too slow to play against a really strong Newcastle midfield so I’d go with:

Palmer
Tuanzebe Woolfie. OShea Burgess
Chaplin Cajuste Taylor
Hutchinson Delap J Clarke

He won’t be staying with Town but whomever Liam joins next season will have a very good player and potentially a future England forward. I just can’t help thinking that we have been stitched up if he can leave for £30m as he is arguably worth double that.

Think he should join a team like Forest, Newcastle or Wolves with good managers rather than joke teams like Man U, Chelsea and Spurs.

Over the last two seasons Davis has arguably been one of our best players and some were talking about a big money move and even an England call up but this season he has had quite a lot of criticism particularly defensively and unfortunately has not made the step-up in quality required for the PL

Is the Championship his level after all or has he just had an off season do you think?
Would he have been any better playing for a Palace, West Ham or one of those sides in PL mid-table?

In recent years we have bought mostly UK players but I wonder if we should try something different this summer and recruit more from overseas. Enciso and Sarmiento have both showed that the South American players provide a bit more flair and excitement so I’d like to see us bring in someone from that part of the world next season. Also Cajuste has been a good loan player but doubt he will stay next season so we should look to bring someone else in from Europe. And we could also look at an African player or two of the ilk of Bryan Mbeumo or Yoane Wissa.

I fear we cannot rely on Hirst and Al-Hamada as our main strikers next year cos one or both are normally out injured.

I’d be happy with a third place finish next season, winning a playoff final at Wembley and doing the double over the scum. That would more than make up for this year’s disappointments

Personally I’d be happy if Muric never played for us again this season and left in the summer but we have to accept a massive loss on him.

Completely agree.

I look at more experienced managers and they can’t string a sentence together or even look at who they are speaking to. Ange is a classic example.

McKenna speaks so well and is a great ambassador for our club.

I totally get that it would be great for a Town player to be in the England squad but even if in the squad Delap wouldn’t play any part in the games and it would take his focus away from his task of helping us stay in the PL. Whether we stay up or not, he won’t be a Town player next season so frankly who cares.

Tuchel seems to favour the old guard or players from the bigger clubs so our players won’t get a look in now or in the future.

At this stage in the season, I think the form table is a better indicator of who is going to get into the playoffs rather than the actual table. Coventry and Bristol City have the momentum at the moment but Nodge, Blackburn, Boro and Watford are all floundering. Mowbray’s West Brom will be in the mix too I suspect.
