Cambridge United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Another draw that feels like a defeat. With the players we have available we should not be dropping points from 2-0 up in this league. Seems an obvious mental block with the players on the pitch but they are the only ones who can overcome it on the pitch.
I remain supportive of Cook as he has been there seen it done it at this level but things have to improve results wise and soon

A deserved win in the end although why we became so sloppy after scoring the first goal I don’t know. Up until the first goal we had been excellent then went rubbish for no reason. Second half was mainly us but not emphatic
I’m sure we have more gears to go up & hopefully that will come
Donacien MOM again for me today. How good does he look right now?!
Ipswich Town 6-0 Doncaster Rovers - Match Report
Awesome performance from the team tonight. The addition of Morsy seemed to make a massive difference right from the start & it feels like we have even more to give. Been a very long time since a performance like that. Absolutely buzzing
Ipswich Town 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report
A draw was probably a fair result although I think we created more chances with Bonne missing a few but then showing a real clever piece of thinking to set up the equaliser. Wednesday goal was their only real attack of note but they then restricted us to a very little opportunity and seemed to be strangling the game. Not the best result to draw at home but the nature of it feels like a win. Tuesday is a massive game now
Lincoln City 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Massive result. We looked good first half going forward and defensively second half. A long way to go and a number of gears to go up but it feels like a corner is being turned
Great ovation for Cook before kick off fans giving support to a person who has suffered a bereavement made me proud and Ashton hi-5ving all of us at the end was a funny moment
Ipswich Town 1-2 West Ham U21s - Match Report
Another embarrassing result and in the main an awful performance. We deserved to lose. Norwood looked good first half before understandably fading whilst Morsy & Idris showed good touches but we were playing a bunch of kids so it was an embarrassing defeat.
The most worrying thing is how flat the players are and I am really concerned Cook is unable to turn this around. It feels ridiculous that I am thinking it but the manner of Saturday & tonight’s games makes me feel that a change will soon be necessary 😳
A win or 2 can change things massively but they feel a million miles away right now
Cook: One of the Toughest Days I've Had in Management
Surely Cook can see it’s the tactics we are employing which are wrong? When we lose the ball we are short in numbers and all over the place defensively as the 2 and 3 of the 4231 are not getting back to help the back 4 whilst the fullbacks are told to stay high. However good Morsy is, he will not be able to change that on his own.
I don’t want to have a go at the man too much as I am led to believe he has lost his dad in the last few days, but surely he can recognise where his tactics aren’t working?
Ipswich Town 2-5 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report
Pathetic and embarrassing result. New team needing to gel or not that was unacceptable today. We made it far too easy for Bolton to win. Going forward we look okay but without the ball we are truly awful. The opposition can be attacking our centre halves in seconds with full backs, centre mids and wide players nowhere to be seen. We are easily beaten by any team with a game plan. With the players we have available, even with the current number unavailable, we should be doing so much better.
Cook and the coaches and players themselves are the only people that can turn it around but it needs to be done now.
Today has to be the lowest point or things will get difficult for Cook quickly
Ipswich Town 2-2 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report
Massively disappointing result and incredibly frustrating how we threw 2 points away at the death. AFCW offered very little and we were hardly being peppered by shots so devastated to concede so easily from set pieces but I’m sure I was far from the only ITFC fan at the ground yesterday that was expecting the goals as soon as the free kick and corner were conceded.
Players don’t seem fully fit yet but that will come however main issue is a lack of organisation when we are defending.
The lack of a victory is now a mental block but only the players on the pitch can sort that. There is no reason why they can’t but they need to do it very soon
Ipswich Town 2-2 MK Dons - Match Report
2 points thrown away by individual errors yet again. A game we should have won easily that we almost lost at the death. Played some excellent football at times but until stop giving opponents easy goals then things will not improve. So frustrating
Cheltenham Town 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
A very disappointing result. Obviously going to take time for all the new players to gel but we really need a win sooner or later to get up and running to ease everyone’s concerns
Burton Albion 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Would have been disappointed with a draw let alone a defeat! We were dominant in the second half & put them under real pressure but Fraser really fluffed the penalty to such an extent it was like a pass back! Also we can’t keep giving away goals like we have been recently, the defence today seemed sloppy throughout, nearly being robbed in possession a few times and reacting slowly to movement of Burton players. Hopefully Edmondson, Coulson and Burgess will soon be available to help steady that & then we can start to impose ourselves more. Was very impressed with Edwards and his effort that hit the bar was so close to being a brilliant goal
