I do think that the area would be a lot better served by facilities that link into the football club and what spectators will actually do on matchday and things that people will come to the town for. Restaurants, sports bars. Perhaps a little retail, more than one hotel a venue that has a big enough capacity for pop concerts, PDC darts or massive conferences.
The football club will be the pull to get people to Ipswich and the council needs to get on board. A swimming pool won’t do it for me |

At ITFC McKenna is the manager not the head coach. He has pretty much full autonomy on signings, playing style and is in full harmony with the upper management and ownership.
Would he have all that at Brighton? Yes they have been above us for the last few years and are established in premier league but have probably reached their ceiling as a club whilst ITFC are still on the way up and have a ceiling at least that of Brighton.
I think he will want a lot of guarantees from Brighton before necessarily moving |

Unfortunately Sam the players did let down the fans today.
38 chances created against a team in the sixth tier as a top championship team you just have to score more than one goal. Nothing to do about it now apart from own it and try to make sure it doesn’t happen again !
Seemed the players were trying too hard to score the perfect goal today too much intricate passing instead of getting half a yard and having a shot.
18 massive matches left and good results are needed straight away to get confidence back

Well done to Maidstone players and fans. A day they will remember forever. ITFC were embarrassing and let themselves and everyone associated with the club down today.
I don’t want any of this “we go again nonsense “, today was unacceptable and they need to accept that and own it and feel the pain. They should issue an apology for the performance and double efforts to make sure it’s a long time before that type of performance happens again. It must not cause a hangover into league form |

Lovely draw. Will be a great day for Maidstone and their fans plus it gives us an excellent opportunity to reach round 5 for the first time in over 15 years.
I remember us playing them in a preseason friendly in 1990 at Corinthians ground near Brands Hatch. My mate dropped a little bit of his pie on a table in the clubhouse and it took the varnish off it so god knows what it did to his insides! |

It really feels like he has been targeted. I’m sure many players coaches and managers have done this and I don’t recall this punishment happening so long after the event.
Any charge of breaking FA rules usually comes a couple of days after the event.
