Gutted as it seemed like we were going to hold on for a replay. However we only narrowly lost to a premiership side and the players can hold their heads up high after battling well. Getting a positive result at Cardiff next weekend will be much more important.

Typical bad day at the office performance today, Brighton controlled the match throughout, got the goals at the right times & got the luck their way. No town player played well and Edwards & Henderson were poor. The first goal was a free header with N'Daw losing his man, no complaints with the second goal which was very well taken. The third was well worked but looked like a bad error from Henderson. The ref was truly awful today not giving us a single decision for 27 minutes and allowing high feet to go unpunished inadvertently led to first goal. The decision not to give a penalty when Kusczak fouled Chopra wa
s ridiculous, no wonder El-Abd was laughing, thankfully it didnt cost us any points as game was over by then. More performances like this will get me worried but more like Wolves/Charlton will see us fine

For me Bristol City were the better side especially first half with Jon Stead reminding us what a class act he is. They hassled us from the front, never allowing us to get into any passing rythym. 3 times in first 20 mins Danns made a late to the edge of our box, not being tracked by his marker{Drury?}, first resulted in a goal & only a great block by Smith & a greedy bit of play by Adomah in shooting stopped Danns getting a hat-trick. Once we equalised we came into the game more but ne
ver really looked like winning. N'Daw, Martin & Edwards were all poor whilst our other attacking players made little impact. Luckily our back 4 were solid once theyd overcome their early jitters. With the bottom 3 all winning we are in danger of being dragged back in there & need pick up points away.

24 hours on and it seems worse now the it did at the time. We were poor for the whole 90 mins and the starting XI was poor to a man. From where I was sat it looked as though Dyer dived for the penalty but it wouldn't have happened if Henderson and Higginbotham hadn't got in a muddle whilst for the second goal Cresswell and Reo-Coker fell asleep at a throw and once again Henderson could have done better. After this Leicester cut through us at will showing pace, desire and incisive moves whilst our players ball watched, complained at each other and failed to put in any decent moves.
Against Palace 5 - 0 was harsh on us, 6-0 today was NOT harsh on us. I was at the 9-0 Old Trafford in 1995, we were far worse yesterday than 17 years ago.
Henderson, Murphy and NRC(I didn't come here to be made to look a fool, no Nigel you came here for the money!) quite obviously dont want to be here and should be sent back immediately, in fact I would send back most or all of the loanees and play our on players. They couldn't do any worse could they? And at least they may show some passion as Edwards, Hyam and Chopra did yesterday.
I really fear for us unless Mick can turn us around and get a few confidence boosting results on the trot, we must still be in touch with safety come January.
One final word for the 990 of us ITFC fans yesterday, we were a credit to the club and really got behind team. We deserve so much better. Also credit to Leicester fans who made a good noise from more than one stand and had a number of different songs, shows what can happen when visiting fans are near the more vocal home fans but unfortunately I cannot ever see the powers that be at ITFC allowing that to happen.

For the first time in many months, we have a home win and performance to be proud of!
The match was fairly even early on with Burnley showing some nice touches but with no cutting edge. We slowly started to dominate the match and were the better side at half time.
An early second half goal was just what the doctor ordered and the ref, who had not given us a thing up until them, for me correctly adjudged that Murphy had not fouled the keeper. We continued to play well but then started to sit back far too much and were punished when Burnley equalised with pretty much they're only effort on target.
However unlike the previous matches this season, that didn't lead to us capitulating but actually pushing on and Campbell's superb goal produced wild celebrations on the pitch and in the stands!
We then saw out the remainder of the game without worry.
Edwards had his best game in over a year, whilst Wellens, Reo-Coker, DJ and N'Daw all played well.
Make no mistake this was a vital victory and gives us all hope that we may still stay up. Long way to go but a step in the right direction and its lovely to walk away from a home game with a smile on my face for once!!

A chastening result that feels no better 24 hours later. In the first half it was an even match, we had more of the play whilst creating nothing and Palace looked a lot more threatening. In typical ITFC we gifted them a goal due to a howler from Chambers but by half-time were still in the game.
Second half though was a different story, pretty much every Town player was poor and Palace had everything we didn't have, pace, power, confidence and organisation. 3 penalties in just over 10 mins is unheard of, from my view each seemed a little a soft and not many referees would have given all 3 in 1 match, however you could see why each was given. The timing of these took the stuffing right out of the players and we soon conceded a fourth due to more poor defending.
The fifth was quite clearly offside but the manner of it showed the void between the 2 sides which was worrying to say the least.
McCarthy's hands are somewhat tied until Jan and its a tough job to instil some belief, confidence and organisation into our current ragbag of loanees, journeymen and freebies. ME must back him then in the window, I just hope we aren't too far adrift by then.
A win Saturday is vital, if we dont, I really think we could be going down

The crowd shouted "you're not fit to wear the shirt".....they were spot on.
I dont know if I have ever seen an ITFC team so gutless, lacking confidence and in many cases obviously not wanting to be there. Sheffield Wednesday are a poor side but we made them look like Barca and Kirkland barely had a save to make. Hyam worked hard and showed the right fight whilst Martin, Carson and Mohsni put in effort at times. However the "performance" of the other players was unacceptable. Last season our full-backs were our stars, this season has been a very different matter and both were very poor today. Some of the clubs more vocal tweeters are also not pulling their weight.
These players are a disgrace and do not deserve to be at this fine club.
The new manager once appointed will have a massive job on his/her hands to turn the team around and try to avoid relegation.
IMHO they should start by jettisoning most of the loanees and build team around likes of Hyam, Carson & Loach. Any senior players who dont want to give 100% effort should be frozen out or sold at earliest opportunity.
It will be a long hard road but just hopefully we will get our Ipswich back

Listened to game on radio and sounded as though it was the correct result. Second best through out the match and never built on getting a lead, just as we didn't in the 3 previous matches.
Jewell constantly changes things but to no effect, whilst every defeat puts the club further into the mire and increases the chances of relegation as the club seems in terminal decline.
Every match strengthens my belief that Jewell has to go, surely no one can rationally back him now?
However removing him alone will not probably change things for the better, the whole way the club is run needs changing, a long-term plan of bringing in younger, hungry players, no OAP Loanees, building a team that Ipswich can be proud of, returning to the values this club was once famous for. That is the way to get the fans back and that is the way to get our Ipswich back

I left the ground at the final whistle and went straight down the pub. I was blaise about the club then but now the alcohol has warn off I feel very depressed and angry about my club. In my 34 years of supporting the club I have never felt so low about them. We look absolute relegation fodder with a manager obviously with no idea or hope of turning things around. Naming and shaming the players who made individual errors is hardly the way to build team spirit and to totally drop N'Daw was a ridiculous decision.
Evans is a successful businessman but seems either blind to situation or unconcerned. We are going down and losing fans, it could take the club years to recover from that scenario. Jewell has to go NOW.
As for the game, we did OK at times and deserved to be leading but the normal duo of missed chances and individual errors AGAIN saw us gift Cardiff a way back into the game. Once we conceded, the team collapsed, no leadership on the pitch, bench or boardroom.
This club is careering towards League one at a considerable rate of knots, whilst changing the manager is unlikely to make everything wonderful but its the vital first step and it must be taken now.
Most fans can see this, many people associated with club probably know it, please Mr Evans, take that first step NOW to start righting this wrong. Failure to do this will lead to relegation

A surprising yet welcome point. Sounded on the radio that we matched them too. Its a small step in the right direction however defeat against Cardiff will undo all tonights good work. We need to start winning games as we need to get out of the bottom 3 ASAP. Jewell still has much to do to convince me he shouldn't be removed from his position, but IF he is to turn it around, we have just witnessed the start of that process.

A point is a point and stops the rot but changes little with the bigger picture. An early goal boosted confidence and for a while we play OK but as in some earlier matches we allow the opposition to gain control and ended up hanging on for dear life. Higginbotham brings organisation to the defence which will help but we still dont look like scoring goals. Jewell finally plays Hyam but only for 45 mins. Injured he said, however I feel other players that he rates more may have not been subbed so easily, that however is just my opinion. With Hyam in the team we seem to play so much better, so when he went off I feared the worst.
Alex Mathie reportedly said that the squad just is n't good enough and he believes funds aren't there to improve it so all we can do is try to stay up. That is very worrying.
Despite the point yesterday we are still on the downward trend and I cannot see Jewell turning it around so the manager needs changing as does the direction the club is taking. Whilst getting the club ready for FFP rules is correct, the cuts are being made to quickly and if they continue will lead to relegation which would be financial suicide. We need a new manager with knowledge of young, hungry players who can motivate them into playing well for ITFC. Not a manager who whines how far Ipswich is away from anywhere! Jewell out

In many ways this was worse than the previous two matches as we didn't create enough chances to miss the hatfull of chances we did against wolves and boro
Apart from the odd decent move we were poor and for me Chambers was the only player to have a decent game
Edwards Smith Cresswell Jet and Drury were all dire and we really missed Chopra and Taylor's invention and energy upfront
Charlton are a bottom 6 team but were far better than us Drurys corner that hit the first defender in last seconds when Loach had gone up summed up our crapness
The decision to bring in Higginbotham then not play him despite Smith and Cressys lack of form and PJs reluctance to play Hyam despite the results being so much better when he plays defy belief and prove to me its time for PJ to go
Things will only get worse till he goes
Mr Evans please act NOW

Same old story yet again. We matched Wolves and should have won. However we were treated to some truly abysmal finishing, in some cases managing to shoot wide or high when it seemed impossible to not at least hit the target. Also our crossing was very poor and you do wonder what they practice in training. Then of course we gift a nervous looking Wolves a goal with our now traditional individual howler and then the game was over. We look a relegation team presently and I have lost any faith in Jewell turning it around. He will probably moan how far Ipswich is away from everywhere! It's usually obvious when the time comes to change a manager and that time is either here or will be come Saturday, its gone beyond the time when it can be turned around and change of manager is now inevitable IMHO. There was a smattering of Jewell Out chants tonight, they will I fear become a crescendo Saturday

same old story every match. We dominate possession but fail to create clear cut chances. When we do create chances we dont take enough of them. Whilst defensively we are far too easy to score against, looking vulnerable to every punt down field, players make individual errors weekly and there seems to be a lack of leadership on pitch, bench & boardroom. This club could go either way right now and despite the soundbites eminating from club, to the outsider we look a good bet to really struggle this year. Its vital we turn this round now or a relegation battle will enshew and I really doubt whether those that matter at club have the strength to survive that.

An exciting match with the draw being a fair result, we had more of the play but Huddersfield looked the more dangerous. I thought the back 4 looked nervous throughout with only Ainsley really impressing, we are still all to easy to score against with just long clearances causing our defence problems although to be honest we've been like that for years!
The 2 goals yesterday yet again came from us giving players too much room and lacking organization. With second goal, Hamill had taken a knock and was slow to get up and our whole team forgot about him as he ran to rejoin the move, I said to Mrs Runaround they forgotten him and five seconds later it was 2-2! If I could see that from SBR lower then surely 1 of our team should have?
On the positive side we put together some good play at times and Taylor showed promise but once again didn't take enough chances although at least they showed the fight they clearly hadn't in previous 2 matches.
You can see what Jewell is trying to achieve with a younger, hungry team with energy and good passing however its still obviously we need further defenders and a real organizer in there. If Jewell can get one we could challenge top 10, without it we're only a couple of injuries way from struggle

What an absolute joke! Really feel sorry for the fans who attended. Sometimes you lose football games but when the players have no desire, fight and just give up it really winds me up, and by sounds of radio commentary the team just weren't up for it.
That is very worrying and that must change starting Saturday.
If Jewell is unable to instill the belief and fight into the players then we will slide further down and the end result will have to be another change of manager which will mean starting from scratch yet again.
Just shows how things can change so quickly, major improvement in player attitude and effort required NOW

There's no disgrace losing at Blackpool, however to ship 6 is a disgrace however good they might have played. This also isn't the first time under PJ where we seem to give up when we go 2 goals down. Its a huge dose of reality for us all. Even though its only the league cup, the Carlisle match is now vitally important to help repair shattered confidence. We need to make sure today was a one-off blip and not go on a long poor run as we have in the last couple of seasons. Its good the players have an early chance to put it right
