Was always slightly overated though the 12 performances he gave under keane were fairly decent seeing as he was playing out of position! atleast were not offering silly money and tring to reduce our wage bill (both eastman and murphy's new deals had a wage cut)... down side is it probably means that jewell needs to bring in 2 decent centre backs with the possibility of tommy or troy going out on loan! anyway good luck for the future tom! |

really annoyng me how ryan keeps on talking out publicly about this, either just shut up and dont sell or name your price! It cant be long before Sharp and Coppinger realise that they dont want to be flirting with relegation every season cos one of these seasons they will go down and wont get nearly that much for those two! also agree with some of you about clegg doing well by only offering 300,000! the close season looks like it should be good and Paul Jewell is a good wheeler dealer and i think will have assembled a very competatnt squad by September 1st! I think if we sign coppinger (as looks very likely now) and westwood within the first 2 weeks of the close season it will get other targets intrested, sets us up for a decent pre season and for the first time in a while, us fans will have something to shout about before August 31st!! haha COYB! P.S the fact that coppinger loves fishing might be a pull factor for jimmy! he might have someone to go out with now! |

Really don't think he is needed... So many reasons we don't want him 1. He is on 15,000 a week 2. It would have to be a fee of around 1 mil, again better used on someone else 3. Jason Scotland has scored more goals than him this season 4. Such a releif to be linked with these players, sharp and goodwillie are head and shoulders above scotland and priskin and the winger from D&R sounds like a decent player who could give any defender a hard time both aerially and with the ball at his feet! shouldnt cost to much either! also what are people thinking for CB if mcauley leaves?? i would like to see St Ledger (Preston) and Morgan (Shef u) should both be lookiing to leave as they r down, both very passionate, aerially very good and can make a very good tackle! and although Morgan isnt a particulary nice peice of work he is the type of guy u want who leads from the front and gets in the attackers face.... |
