Les57 added 18:13 - Oct 20 Dear mr Evans I wish to apply for the soon to be vacant managers job. Having played and managed in local pub and local football leagues (although not for the last 25 years) I have at least the same if not better idea of how to play football. As and when you decide to make the change, give me a call Taricco_Fan added 18:32 - Oct 20 sixtyblue added 18:36 - Oct 20 Maltster added 19:24 - Oct 20 I saw my first Town match in 1947 against QPR in division 3 south. That team would have beaten Ipswich today.! Why play 3 of the back 4 out of position simply to accommodate Nsiala who was awful and leave poor old Freddy Sears up front on his own against 2 big central defenders. Frankly I think that Mr Hurst is completely out of his depth and should go while we still have a chance of beating relegation! jas1972 added 20:30 - Oct 20 A collection of players of moderate ability as individuals, who tried hard; some of them were even average-plus. However, they showed no ability whatsoever to play as a team, and they did not appear to have any idea of what formation they should be in. When they did settle on a pattern they clearly had no faith in any instructions that they might have been given. These failings are entirely down to the manager, who unfortunately is not available to rate; but if he was, he would come in aroundd the 2 to 3 mark, at best. Taking off our one acquisition of definite talent, who also happens to be our leading goalscorer, didn't seem like the smartest move either. Three of the back four playing out of position to accommodate Nsiala, who can't pass. What is wrong with playing Donacien at right back, Chambers and Pennington as centre backs and Knudsen at leftback? kev180max added 09:18 - Oct 21 That's the worst game I have ever seen at Portman Road in over 55 years. We looked so poor everywhere on the field. I cannot see us improving , why oh why do we play with one up front, its not working but the manager is convinced he's right. We're going down.He talked about attacking football when he arrived but we haven't got the players to survive in this league. BcarefulwhatUWish4 added 02:38 - Oct 22
