If you feel the urge go and sign the parliament petition on Trump... 17:25 - Jan 29 with 20038 viewsunstableblue

.. against his proposed State visit to the UK...

Not because of his Muslim ban, not because of his wall and stupid policies against Mexico, not because its awkward for the royal family with his climate denial, not because warmth to russia, not because of his support of torture...

... but he is a classless idiot who thinks being treated like a royal dignatary will give him a stamp of class which he longs for...

That's what you are dealing with on here. Ignorant, holier than thou, intellectually superior leftard f@ckwits like Jeera, AdmiralFudgepacker, VapourTrail. Any one who disagrees with their views is considered a Nazi, kkk members. Pathetic, they probably would like to see Trump assassinated.

err what homophobic slur did I use here exactly? The word gay? judging from your profile picture your musical tastes fits in nicely with the stereotype your leftie views...

The fact you don't know or are ignorant enough to dismiss it says more than enough. I can't believe that you'd be silly enough to think "fudgepacker" is anything but.

You really have no idea, given Morrissey is notoriously provocative and his views switch "wings" on a whim.

It seems odd there's a strong correlation between the racist, homophobic, obnoxious views of people who adore and defend Trump so vigorously no? Why is that?

That was the most enjoyable five minutes i've had today. Thanks for that. I don't really like that guy because he's thinly veiled racist and homophobic but he was spot on there. I particularly enjoyed the massively dramatic screaming of that guy and i'm pleased it was repeated as it saved me from watching it again to enjoy it some more.

Genuine question about this - this style of analysis relies quite heavily on two recurrent themes:

1) the liberals/anti-fascists/mainstream media (whichever is the target) are telling us all what to think and dismissing views which are different from their own...

and 2) the views that the liberals/anti-fascists/mainstream media are wrong, their views are ridiculous, they all idiots because... etc

Although it makes a punchy 5 minute youtube clip that might be attractive to a certain audience, there's very little that anyone can engage with because views that the speaker disagrees with are dismissed as ridiculous - and we are repeatedly told by these sources (and by this speaker in other videos) that it is this dismissal of views which we don't agree with which is responsible for the apparent recent polarisation of society.

What do you think about this contradiction?

This petition states the state visit shouldn't go ahead 'because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen'. Has the Queen actually given any hint she feels this way or is this yet another example of people assuming that everyone agrees with them and not stopping to consider there may be good reasons to go ahead with this visit?

Is there a petition to ignore this petition? I'd like to sign it.

There's a hell of a lot of his views that I completely disagree with. There's little doubt in my mind that their main target audience is racist, xenophobic, homophobic god fearing people. That might upset some on here who enjoy his work but go to infowars and read the comments section. Go to zerohedge which is a similar site. All these sites seem to attract anti semitic white supremacists who hate Muslims, socialism and anyone who isn't a white westerner.

I agree with you that their message is conflicting. I'd like to think i'm seen as a moderate supporter of Brexit and Trump and someone who can see both sides. I dislike a lot of Trump's policies but I have to respect that he was democratically elected. I enjoyed that video simply because of the massively OTT reactions. You must surely agree we live in a society where people compete on modern platforms like social media to see who can be the most offended and upset. The guy screaming is the perfect example. The Facebook post from the pregnant woman is just mindblowing. The woman saying she had been 'triggered' is another. I just can't stand this black and white idea. There are a million shades of grey and i'm sick to death of the drama and entitlement of spoilt brats who throw their toys out whenever anyone else dares has a say. There is very little respect on both sides for anyone else's opinion. Disagree with the liberals and you're a thick racist. Disagree with the right wingers and you're a 'libtard', a word I utterly despise and cringe at every time it's used. So many think their opinion is the only one that counts. The guy in the video is as bad as any neo liberal media source and sees only what he wants to see to fit in with his own preconceived agenda. I'm rambling. Hopefully i've made some sense...

When i've posted petitions on here in the past i've always posted them with a comment such as 'if anyone cares' or 'if anyone is interested' so it's really interesting to me that yours was posted with 'go and sign the parliament petition'. It really does back up what i've thought all along about you and how you think your opinion is the only one and anyone who doesn't agree is simply ignorant and stupid.

Feel free to imagine I have paused at this point to allow Factual or Badger to say 'well they are stupid'.

We're not really so different in our beliefs. You're liberal. I have a lot of liberal views too and I don't think anyone who knows me well on here would suggest i'm homophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, xenophobic etc etc. One way we differ though is that i'm not prepared to try and force my views on to everyone else and i'll respect other views. I might well argue against them but I won't act like my view is the one true view and anyone who disagrees is thick. I don't consider myself above anyone else unlike you and the loudest voices on here who agree with you.

Trump has some horrible policies. I wish he'd withdraw backing for Ted Cruz's anti LGBT bill, withdraw his ban on Muslims entering the country and do something about gun controls as a few examples. With that said, he was democratically elected by the electoral college system which you can cry about all you like but we all knew the rules before the election. All the media did was play with their interactive maps to see how Clinton would inevitably win the election with enough college votes. Trump was never supposed to win but he did. Why? The verdict from your side is that America's dumbest and most awful people came out to screw over the 'progressives' and the decent people. That is BS. On one side there is a group of neo liberals, on the other there is a group of racists and bigots. In the centre there is a group of swing voters. The people who make the difference who are neither neo liberal or thick racists. They are mostly decent people who decide on an election by election basis which side to vote for. For these people it was a choice between Wall Street's best friend Clinton and Trump, the flawed business man promising to put America first and create jobs. These are the people who finally got sick of having their concerns ignored and they turned to a wildcard candidate in the hope it would bring change.

I was hoping before it was announced that Trump would get an invite for a state visit. It's a calculated move which i'm sure means a lot to him based on what he has said about his mother. We need to work with him because he was elected through the American system and you throwing your toys out because you disagree with him on lots of things isn't going to change anything. I wonder how much of this is remainers hoping for a two for one deal of getting his visit cancelled and damaging relations to stop us getting a decent trade deal so you can be right about Brexit. The impression I get is that being right is far more important to you than Britain actually getting a decent deal. Before you come back at me with something about turning a blind eye to get a trade deal I absolutely agree we should not stand by and not say a word when he does stupid things or comes up with stupid ideas. I think May is playing a clever game with him. She can't go steaming in one day one telling him she disagrees with 90% of his policies. She does appear to have got through to him on NATO. Perhaps Charles can soften his environmental views and perhaps as time goes by and their relationship grows May can have more influence on him.

Maybe it's time you took a step back, looked a bit longer term and grew up a bit. It's also worth repeating that the media and Democrats conspired to make sure Clinton was the Democratic nominee. Biden or Sanders would have defeated Trump easily. Having the Wall Street puppet up against someone like Trump was a massive mistake. I'm sure it's all someone else's fault though. Enjoy your petition. I'll enjoy it falling flat on its face and your outraged tweets.

I might not reply to any replies tonight. I'm about to watch the third Hobbit movie. I'm sure i'll be too thick to grasp your replies anyway. Please use small words x

Edit: Corrected chance to change.
