Burley: Pablo Staying at Palace
Burley: Pablo Staying at Palace
Thursday, 23rd Dec 2010 09:43

Crystal Palace boss George Burley has dismissed a claim that the Eagles are set to cut short Town striker Pablo Couñago's loan. Reports in London yesterday suggested that the Spanish frontman would be returned to Portman Road halfway through his season-long spell.

Burley confirmed that the 31-year-old will remain at Selhurst Park: "Pablo is with us until the end of the season - full stop.

“There's no possibility of Pablo going back to Ipswich. They might want him back, I don't know, but he's not going back."

Nothing against Pablo, he did a great job for us, scored loads of goals some great ones some very important and was a great show man.
Dont think he reached his full potental, However Pablo is not the man to take us forward, he has had his day I am afraid.
We all loved him but its time to move on.

Would like to see him back for the last game of the season so we can sing Ole Ole Ole Ole for one last time O happy days (but only if nothing is riding on the game)

Sorry
Keane out Keane out

i always liked pablo. Great vision, a good link between midfield and attack and very clever in the box. Unfortunately that was 3 seasons ago. Remember him paired up with Alan Lee with Walters bombing down the right? Those days were better than now... Miller, Garvan and Billie Clark in midfield, De vos and Wilnis at the back, Alexander in goal. Then we got a new owner and it seemed to go downhill from there

We ain't had a striker since who has done better!

Very sad, would love to have him back along with garvan and start to play football again, but we all know how stubborn our manager is and sadly there is no chances Pablo will feature again under the messiah, another player to have been forced out the door without having been given a chance.

Shame..would've loved to have seen him back at PR (along with a new manager)...Priskin is dreadful,Wickham's always injured,Fallon's no goalscorer.

I expect all we're gonna hear on here for the next 5 weeks are stories about bloody Chopra.

Good in the past Pab's but not now. Never learnt the art of, if it ain't your day, work your socks off.

Hear Burley getting the sack from Palarse soon. Great coach but not so good as a manager. Just the sort of guy RK needs IF he was more plyable.

Lightening ,i think you may be under estimating Fallon as a useful player.

I think getting falon in is a waste of time but his performance against liecester has shown wat he can do for us. Be that target man for players to play off.

At the end of the day I suppose the supporters get the club they deserve. Reading the crap and dribble on here thats what you all have. A team, owner and manager thats crap and drivel .

There's just no-one here with an arse the size of Counago's anymore : though we have many that can compete on the lazy and dozy front.

More skill than all of current strikers put together - but, sadly, past his best and lacking motivation (aka lazy).
