Jackett Undecided on Lisbie
Jackett Undecided on Lisbie
Wednesday, 8th Jun 2011 15:04

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett says he’s still undecided whether he wants to keep released Town striker Kevin Lisbie at the Den. The 32-year-old spent last season with the Lions and is keen to make the switch a permanent one having been told he will not be offered new terms by the Blues.

The former Jamaica international missed the end of the campaign due to an ankle injury and Jackett says this is why no decision has yet been made: “We are going to have to wait and see on that because Kevin is still injured at the moment.”

League One Colchester United are also understood to be interested in re-signing the one-time Charlton player.

Elsewhere, Chesterfield’s Craig Davies, said to have been watched by the Blues some months back, has agreed to join Barnsley.

Meanwhile, ex-Town skipper Matt Holland has confirmed on Twitter that, as reported by TWTD yesterday, the person tweeting as Kieron Dyer in the last few days is a fake.

Looks to me like we've run out of players "linked to" and moved on to other clubs "Linked to".

How does the player currently being injured have anything to do with whether they want to buy him or not. Theyve had a whole year.

Seems like hes hedging his bets to see who else he can sign first.

Not that it has much to do with us.

Surely Millwall aren't good enough or big enough for Mr Lisbie!

Does it matter? Lisbie is just one of a large number of players released by PJ - all of which need to be replaced as soon as possible.

Poor ol Kev .. what a time to pick up an injury. Great servant to our club .. where's the crime in wanting to not up root the family. Misunderstood that what he was.

ITFC just phoned me to see if I was 'interested in backing the Academy' (£'s) - I pointed out that after last season, even though I've renewed, I was having trouble backing anyone - worst season since J Duncan....We have'nt got a team, as <<the<unt rightly says.

Things can only get better surely.

(L1) Lisbie the Frisbie? (snigger) .... "Great Servant?" (gafaw)...
When are we going to get some real players in?

Very poor Phil... would have expected something like 'Lisbie not in Jackett's pocket, Jackett does not wear heart on sleeve over Lisbie, Jackett shows no silver lining for Lisbie, not much interest from Jackett in keeping abreast of Lisbie situation, Jackett's elbow for Lisbie, Lisbie is armpit for Jackett?

OK, I can see why the puns were given a miss on this one.

Would be a good resigning for us right now.
Wickham may well be on his way, Priskin wants out and Lavery isn't ready yet....that leaves Scotland on his own up front (potentially).
Needs support- Lisbie could do the job for us......not a great signing- granted- but at least he's a player.
Will we have a first team squad next season? Thats the burning question....
Think Phil's right to give us every link-keeps fans in the know....
