Nouble: Everyone Will Play Their Part
Wednesday, 3rd Apr 2013 16:36

Striker Frank Nouble believes Town’s strength in depth will come into play during the final six games of the season. The 21-year-old, who joined the Blues from Wolves in January, was one of five players brought into a much-changed side for Monday’s 0-0 draw at Millwall.

Nouble told the club site: “It’s good to have competition in the squad. It keeps everybody on their toes, which can only be a good thing and we have a wide range of strikers at the club, who are all different types of players, which is the pleasing thing.

“Obviously you’ve got me, Didsy [David McGoldrick], Murph, Chops, Macca — a real blend of differing strikers and that variety is definitely needed.

“I’m sure every player will play their part during the last few weeks of the season and it’s good to have fresh players available.”

Meanwhile, keeper Scott Loach — who has kept back to back clean sheets since returning to the Town team after loanee Stephen Henderson went back to West Ham - says he’s determined to establish himself as the club’s long-term number one: "I've played 190 games in the Championship and why can't I continue that with Ipswich? I've earned my chance and now I've got to take it."

Elsewhere, ex-Blues defender and striker Richard Naylor has been named the assistant to caretaker-manager Neil Redfearn in the wake of Neil Warnock’s departure from Leeds United. Naylor, 36, has been working as the Whites’ U18s coach this season.

Waiting for the whole attacking front line to play their part away from home, hasn't happened this year - surely any game now.

"a wide range of strikers at the club, who are all different types of players," shame none of them are decent goalscorers !!

I think the problem is more with supply not so much finishing ( Granted Nouble and Chopra have both missed clear cuts of late)

Richard Naylor - another player let go for nothing which I think was a mistake. Town legend for me.

Eh? Bam Bam's career had run its course with Town. He was a physical wreck and had been for a few of his last few years with us. He was a rock of a player, but struggled with knee problems and could rarely play back to back games. Id say we did him a favour NOT asking for a fee and allowed him to pursue his career elsewhere.

Nouble has bags of potential, but is yet to really make his mark here as of yet. Hes failed to make it at a number of good clubs thus far, he really needs to step up to avoid a career in the lower leagues. He can do it, we know it, we have seen it - just dont be JET MK2.

We have a wide range of strikers who take shots with a wide range of targets... very wide sometimes!

'Everyone will play their part but largely the defense' the headline should read.

its surprising with the amount forwards we havent scored more goals although defence is now very mean which is down to the whole team in our remaining games cud see us not conceding any which wud mean us having the 5th best defensive record in the division behind cardiff hull brighton n leicester which is great considering how many we conceded before new management took over so sure we be safe with couple more 1-0 wins and some 0-0 as always we do it the hard way

Its tough being a striker in this team at this particular time.Reasons being- we are not playing expansive football due to the mess MM took on, and form of lower teams in division, which in turn has prevented MM playing a more attractive game.Any other campaign, MM would of had us safe by now.I think we all agree MM and TC have worked minor miracles since taking the helm.Form of players such as Smith and Chambers, for instance.I bet MM would of relished the chance to of worked with Delaney. His confidence was shot to pieces when he left us and joined Palace.

How will it all end?

It's turns out alright in the end?

How?

I don't know it's a mystery :-)

I think we've got all the strikers we need. What we want is a creative midfield/wide players to supply them with the amunition. We're not far off being a very good team, but time will tell whether we actually get there or not. There's a job to do in the next six matches first.

over the easter period i met the rest of the girlfriends family, one of those was a former west ham player and i got speaking with him about Frank Nouble, a very good player who has of yet never realized a fraction of his full potential was the comment. I think we could have a gem in him. Terry and Mick are excellent coaches and we will see the best Nouble has to offer....COYB

Think Nouble could be a good signing ,he has pace, skill ,energy and strength ,finishing and positioning comes with age and experience for a striker .If he has the right attitude which by the sounds of it he has then he could go far .
Along with Loach,Smith,Chambers,Cresswell,Hyam,JET,Martin this team could stay together for a number of years which is only good for a club ,the constant change in personel and managers has done us no good over the last four years

If this team stay together for a number of years, forget going up!

It amazes me. Every person on this board who has tried to make a factual comment about our lack of goals has got a whole load of negatives! What is the matter with you guys, don't you like the truth?

Im not so sure that this is the striker we need. I dont see goals in him,he just hasnt got the class that we see from Chopra.
