Town Linked With Failed Power Bid
Thursday, 5th Jan 2017 09:32

Town are reported to be one of a number of clubs to have had an offer for Wigan midfielder Max Power turned down by the Championship strugglers.

According to the Daily Mail the Blues, Brentford and Birmingham have all made unsuccessful approaches for the 23-year-old.

Birkenhead-born Power came through the youth system at Tranmere where he made more than 100 senior appearances before joining the Latics in the summer of 2015.

I would really like us to sign him, as I've always thought that is such a great name... no other reason, as I don't know if he's any good...

Does he have a secret "Nitro" button and go faster stripes on his boots?

If so, get him!

Great name.

....Jan 5th .....still no news of a signing yet other clubs have already done their business....can't score goals and we get rid of another striker ....Murphy left in Sept surely we have done the ground work to bring someone in early not a panic buy at end of JAN.........wouldn't normally be worried by lack of action as we know we bide our time but we let Murphy go three months ago ....and still no replacement !!! (SIGH)

He sounds good but just read a Wikipedia article saying he is quite a hot head and has been warned by former bosses to calm down. Hopefully he has

Knowing our luck we'll try for Max Power and end up with Homer Simpson

Gotta love the transfer window. I wonder if any of the rumours of Ward Woodraw and Power are remotely true!
