Trio Win Caps Friday, 2nd Sep 2011 21:57 On-loan midfielder Keith Andrews won his 21st Republic of Ireland cap and played the full 90 minutes as his side drew 0-0 with Slovakia this evening in Dublin. Tamás Priskin and Josh Carson also picked up caps. Fellow Blue Damien Delaney was left out of the Republic’s matchday squad having been called into the party yesterday as cover for injuries. Striker Tamás Priskin came on as an 80th minute sub and won his 35th cap as Hungary beat Sweden 2-1 in a Euro 2012 qualifier in Budapest. The 25-year-old failed to add to his eight international goals but created the winner in the final minute for one-time Town target Gergely Rudolf. Midfielder Josh Carson won his fifth Northern Ireland U21 cap as his side lost their Euro 2013 qualifier in Serbia 1-0. The Northern Irish youngsters, who also included ex-Town academy defender Rory McKeown, played the final 40 minutes with 10 men after Preston's Connor McLaughlin was red-carded. Loanee keeper David Stockdale was an unused sub as England beat Bulgaria 3-0 in Sofia, while Carlos Edwards and Jaime Peters are likely to be in action with Trinidad and Tobago and Canada overnight.
