Edwards Offered Deal Thursday, 8th Mar 2012 23:53 Town have offered current skipper Carlos Edwards a new one-year contract. The 33-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international is likely to accept the deal having recently said he’d like to remain at Portman Road.
Edwards, who joined the Blues from Sunderland for £1.35 million in 2009, turned down a new contract a year ago, preferring to allow a clause his existing deal to trigger an additional year.
Speaking a fortnight ago, the former Wrexham and Luton man made his intention to remain a Town player clear: “I would love to stay, I am happy here and most importantly, my family are happy here.”
