Thankfully even though it was worth 4 figures, it was mostly at 33/1 so didn't have to have too much on in total. Something like £200 including free bets. Am fancying something in the novice hurdle - Lough Derg Spirit at about 7/2 And have been on a horse for the grand national for months. Another potential huge winner for me

You ain't off for the other two days are you? You enjoyed the fun of Cheltenham. I know you did. Yeah I can understand that. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Worth noting that a horse hasn't died in the national since 2012 (they made some changes which has clearly helped). The race over the national fences on day 2 over a shorter distance is a bit naughty though. That has had some deaths over the years. Not a fan of that race. They go too quick for those fences imo

Been on One For Arthur since his prep at Warwick early January Also played Vicente a few months ago for a small stake at 33s and the Last Samuri at 20s for a half decent win. The latter was my bet last year when second and so I backed him again justnin case he wins it this year. One For Arthur is a big bet for me.

I'm on Cause of Causes 201 ew after we won a nice few quid on it at Chelts. I'm quietly confident of a big run considering the ground, trip all in his favour.

If I was doing a shortlist of 7 horses, he'd be on it. However, horses in the cross country at Cheltenham have a habit of dissappointing surprisingly in the GN. A strange trend but they rarely bring the CC form to the aintree fences. I expect a big run from yours though. I know of someone who has 1000/1 on more of that for the grand national with betfair. Months ago. Think he has a tenner on. Professional punter. I have OFA with a few each way doubles that are with 33/1 placer antepost My Tent or yours. A 33/1 and 25/1 place double if OFA gets top 5. And done him with Ricky Fowler each way in the masters for a double.

He's been round the aintree fences finishing 8th running on. I would imagine they'll run him a bit handier this time. Recent form shows those horses who ran at Cheltenham have done well winning too.

Interesting that he has course form. I didn't know that. I'm still gutted with The Last Samurai. I mentioned him on here antepost last year, know a few people backed him at 20s with me each way (Admiral had 20 each way on at 20/1 I believe) and it p1ssed down. If it didn't rain, he wouldn't have come Second - he'd have won! This year I had to back him again antepost at similar prices but for a smaller stake. Vicente for a little bet at 33s before Christmas. But one For Arthur has done nothing but make me more confident. 5th in the race over the national fences in December. Stayed on from the back. Stepped up in trip for the first time at Warwick and he gagged up. Drying ground isn't ideal but he won a point to point on that ground so hopefully he can run his race. Jumps well enough and will relish the trip. Big runner and I'm sitting confident. The big dangers looking at the race right now are your chap, more of that and the last samurai in my opinion.

I like to think so...Rommy knows I'm a sucker for a wild acca though. Bit of fun + I enjoy reading about all the random teams when I'm researching for an acca.

Just off for the weekend. Good to know about the race, thanks for that. Tonight: £15 Ipswich @ 2.4 £2 4 fold - Ipswich, Brighton, Leicester and Leeds @ 16.26 Considered £5 on Rotherham but talked myself out of it. Sheff Wed not in great form and Rotherham now have no pressure. 5/1 not bad odds IMO.
