I was roundly criticised when suggesting him.

Says he likes to coach players and bring them through rather than sign players. As a club with no money, plenty of decent but not amazing players and a good group of youngsters coming through it would be good to give him an interview.

Truly impaired.

I think he'd want a load of money too.

I don't actually mind Sherwood, but not sure he's the right man for here

He started at Villa in February 2015 and.....................

"After losing six consecutive matches, including a 10-game win-less run which left the team 19th in the table, Sherwood was sacked on 25 October 2015."

"On 10 November 2016, Sherwood was appointed director of football at League One side Swindon Town. On 14 June 2017, it was confirmed that Sherwood would leave his post, following the club's relegation to League Two."

Doesn't sound that good to me!

That Bolton side was Fat Sam's Bolton side, sent out to 'play' that way by him. And then he tried to deflect it all onto the great Barry Knight.

Villa were already a sinking ship to be fair. And not entirely sure what a director of football really does.

Paul Jewell came here off the back of similar achievements at Derby!

Nigel Clough would make an excellent Ipswich manager, the right temperament, plays the right sort of football and can work well with small budgets. So obviously Evans will hire Gordon Strachan.

How about the allegations of taking money to advise third parties how to get round FA transfer rules, having just been employed by that same FA as England manager?

He, like Harry Redknapp, is clearly someone not to be trusted.

I neither like him or dislike him but if you want I can pretend to dislike him.
