I think having a break last season after 20+ years going done me the world of good.Absolutely loved being back there.I fully expect it to be a season like Magiltons first in charge- bit up and down-until Hurst gets it fully tweaked to how he wants it and of course thats gonna take time | |

Had some couple of lads behind me spending the first 15 minutes going on about the last manager. “MM would have done this...” “wow, Chambers must hate doing something like actually passing the ball rather than doing what MM tells him to do...”
It was insufferable, so I turned round to ask them why they’re still going on about MM. With that, some old boy with them put his hand on my shoulder and asked me when they said anything about “him”, getting pretty confrontational. Quite hilarious watching how wound up people get when you pull them up on their sh1t.
Anyway, the rest of the game was spent taking snipes at me how they’re season ticket supporters and how they haven’t seen me before. The whole clapping and throwing the arms out when shouting Ipswich resulted in me getting an intentional clout round the back of the head a couple times, much to my mates annoyance.
Ironically, when we equalised I jumped about a bit like a loon and one of the more sensible of the crowd hugged me. Don’t think his mates knew how to take it.
I just wonder what the mentality is to go to something quite expensive and spend the whole time complaining and trying to goad people who are there with the same common ground as you. Fooking bizarre behaviour... |  |
