I watched the first episode this morning, was pretty terrible and they just had to keep explaining why all the trains were gone and had been replaced.
It seems a bit silly to try and make it so multicultural and around the world, because it is a show set in a small village, and having a train travel around the world isn't very realistic really is it?!

Bus replacements? Sounds realistic if so. Just getting kids used to the fact the trains are useless and completely unreliable!

Not sure I see the problem myself - there are already two or three versions of the show in original format to watch - this just opens up new story lines.

Yeah that is probably a better bet!
But there is now going to be him going around the world which seems pointless. The gender balancing isn't a particularly big deal, and making more of the main characters female is probably a good thing - but I'll await to see how he ends up in India.....!

I don't see the problem - I imagine it's being done so they can expand the franchise out into different parts of the world. The funniest thing is seeing people's reactions online (and the chew chews joke)
