Interesting to see how it varies both to the ratings our fans have given to players on this site for yesterday's game, and also in how many players are viewed in a wider context on this forum.

Not sure how they can give Donacien and Sears a 5 and 6 when both were only on the pitch for less than 10 minutes when you compare them to the other scores. I disagree about Skuse although he didn't have his best game yesterday.

He hasn’t got a clue. EVERY intelligent town fan knows that Skuse does all those nitty gritty things that is invisible to the human eye. The fact he never runs with the ball, scores or provides an assist is completely irrelevant.

Apologies for my fake news. In 169 appearances he’s scored 2 goals and got 7 assists.

Nolan got a 7 and Skuse a 3?!! The game largely passed both of them by yesterday. Although Nolan's run and strike was indeed sublime. Having said that the reviewer thought Pennington scored with a header so not sure how much of the game he even watched.

My first live game yesterday! I talked with a number of people around me about the season so far and this game in particular; all said that Skuse had yet another anonymous game. He contributed very little again and seemed to coast through the game, as apparently he’s done all season. Personally I don’t recall any of the interceptions or last ditch tackles that he’s famed for and certainly no incisive passing. I would expect one of our few seasoned pros contributing far more than he did.

If it's invisible, how do we know he does it?

Is it completely irrelevant? He's a midfielder not a centre half.

These are the ratings of a schoolboy, goal scorers get the highest ratings even if they are hopeless for 89 minutes.

So is Mascherano, he doesn't score or get assists either and was one of the best in the world. In the role Skuse plays, he's unlikely to score or assist. [Post edited 1 Oct 2018 11:06]
