Pennington - anyone else see the resemblance on 09:04 - Dec 17 with 1339 views | Pinewoodblue | Bit harsh, every time we saw a horsebox,of trailer, going to away games the kids used to say his name.

Yeah, like 2 peas in a pod. Typical commentary under Duncan 'Linighan gets the ball, hooooooof'

John Wark reckons that he was the best value-for-money player that we ever purchased (or something like that). Considering that we paid a similar amount for both Muhren and Thijssen (and that Wark played with both of course), that is some accolade! [Post edited 17 Dec 2018 10:08]

Pennington - anyone else see the resemblance on 10:05 - Dec 17 with 1213 views | Darth_Koont | Not sure about that. But Pennington does have a unique style of always seeming back on his heels. I think it's the way he naturally leans back more but always looks as if he's not going to reach the ball.

Calm down, I meant the way he runs rather than his abilities

Pennington - anyone else see the resemblance on 13:19 - Dec 17 with 1079 views | The_Last_Baron | Linighan was a much better defender. Captained our 91/92 title winning side. One of John Duncan's best signings. Wark and Linighan together at the back were a great team. It was only in his later years when he got very slow that he wasn't up to the mark.
