As we're on a trip to a level of football last charted by us in the 50s, how about a 50s style formation 4-2-4 or the like, no tracking back from the front four and then at least when the big boot punts forward we'd have a chance of retaining possession.

Also, I'd like to apologise for the defeat Saturday, all my fault I'm afraid. I was wearing the same sweatshirt I wore to Rotherham for first away game of season. The game that started all this rot. I promise not to wear it on a match day again.

In that case we should be launching our new home shirt to celebrate.

4-4-2 is always the best way to play football. 5 defend, 5 attack.

4-2-4- more a thing of the sixties. Brazil used it first at the 1958 W.Cup.

So naturally didn't reach Suffolk till a bit later.

We might have something of a patent on 6-3-1 though.
