I've seen a few of these 500 ball challenges and he was far closer more often, even on a longer hole and a trickier landing to get the ball moving right.

I've seen a few of these 500 ball challenges and he was far closer more often, even on a longer hole and a trickier landing to get the ball moving right. Great job!

I think 170 yards is a decent range to aim at, means you can hit more of a mid iron in and not worry so much about backspin etc like on the much shorter holes.

But a very impressive effort - must have landed 10-15 within a 2 foot radius.

Crazy isn't it. I'm overjoyed if I land on the green. I rarely play it these days and I was never particularly serious anyway, but I've never known a game where you can go so quickly from feeling in the groove to being absolutely useless!
