What? Why are some on here so intent on having an argument? And in such a dreadfully detestable smug way. Just trying to highlight that those screaming for Mick are every bit as boring as those screaming against and also part of the problem.

That all seems to be on you. Given the abuse and vulgarity aimed at any of us who weren't calling Mick a paedophile, dinosaur or whatnot, let alone your posts thus far this all seems a bit rich. It's pretty undeniable he's the only decent manager Evans has appointed and the one he let down the most. The toxicity and entitlement amongst the fanbase was perhaps the most shameful element, especially given how things are now spun. Only you framed things as binary and in such a telling manner.

Ok mate, whatever floats your boat. You are certainly far too smart for me, enjoy your evening.

We would be better off being relegated!!!!! on 17:51 - Jan 6 by artsbossbeard | Not sure how this correlates to Mick being Billy Big Bollox. Rightfully calling out Town fans for being helmets, maybe? Turned it well, didn't it. |
In his own words, it correlates to fans not forcing Mick's hand, although, the truth is, he's only human and there's no doubt those hurling abuse at games ultimately played their part and were rightfully awarded the moniker, numbskulls. The unavoidable truth though is that under Mick, Ipswich Town Football Club became fragmented and less inclusive which goes against the grain of what a club was started for in the first place. We were left with season ticket holders and a smattering of paying on the gate customers only at some games and i'm sure most of those were there only as they were financially committed or it was habitual routine. Yes, we're not in Championship and i have no doubt if Mick was in charge we wouldn't be in League One but if he was still here, at what cost? I wonder what would be of the club now as it was devoid of soul and character in his final years. Would you swap a label and status for an additional 7 - 9,000 fans each home game?

Would I swap the championship and lower attendance for this pub league and a load of fans who act like helmets? See RIG's thread re: Joe. Answer: In. A. Heartbeat.
| Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing. | Poll: | Raining in IP8 - shall I get the washing in? |

The question is more about identity and the soul/fabric of the cub than the volume of numbers. It's quite a stretch to say 9,000 fans "are helmets" and is synonymous with Mick's outlook on the fanbase who chose not to follow him. Would i rather be in the Championship turning up to a below half filled PR every week to watch a beleaguered team with a belligerent, divisive manager for the sake of status? This is where you and I differ. No-one wants to be in league one (the standard is pony) but i'd rather have a harmonious football club than the divisive fractured mess we had 18-months ago (its a shame it's become an either or). Listen to the tone in MM's voice in that post; beyond the pale.
