Corbynism - The Post mortem 08:11 - Jan 20 with 2882 viewsitfcjoe

New podcast, first episode is about the anti-semitism.

A really interesting listen and gives a lot of background to both him and the situation - guests are Jonathan Friedland, someone from Jewish Labour Movement and another bloke.

Hopefully the rest of the series will be as good as the first episode

I was addressing the organ grinder. Not his monkey.

I'm sure Dollers is grown up enough to answer for himself.

So still nothing on that score then?

Do you think that the 4 Jewish people featured in the podcast accuse Corbyn of unleashing and enabling a gallus form of antisemitism which had previously lurked in the shadows because they hate Corbyn?

Or do you think the 4 Jewish people featured in the podcast hate Corbyn because heunleashed and enabled a gallus form of antisemitism which had previously lurked in the shadows?

I have no idea. Wagner who is the least politically motivated said that institutional racism is built up over decades so not quite sure what he thinks was "unleashed in 2015".

Like you they've invested far too much in this idea of antisemitism that was lurking in the shadows (but oddly not in any measurable form or with sufficient evidence). I guess you and them will just have to keep repeating that.

Yes. As I said, I'd liked to have heard more from the opposing view.

And I think Freedland's assertion that Corbyn is an antisemite just like any other old Jew-hater was predictably harsh and wide of the mark.

If you want the alternative view and to build a picture of what's really going on, I suggest you read what Antony Lerman, Peter Oborne, Robert Cohen, Jonathan Cook and others have to say.

Also Bad News for Labour is a collection of different essays and is very good - it includes the research that the media reporting (fuelled by the promotional efforts of a few politicians, Twitter warriors and pro-Israel nutjobs - think GB on steroids) succeeded in convincing the average man in the street that documented antisemitism among Labour members was 300 times greater than it actually was.

That's typical of the prevailing narrative some are trying to fight against but the 4 participants in the podcast have always been eager to maintain.

The reason I left you in peace rather then reciprocate your willy waving in my direction on the morning after the 2017 general election was because you bowed out gracefully. And for some misguided reason I fully expected you to keep your word for longer then just a few weeks.

But if you want to do the dance again then I'm more than happy to give you 100 Jewish anti Corbyn opinions for every on Jewish pro Corbyn opinion you care to put up as your example of tokenism.

This isn't political posting though is it? I'm making a point about something I posted not being deemed ok, but you doing exactly the same in this thread. The subject matter's irrelevant.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.
