I think it's still Hurst because he set so much of this in motion and was allowed to take a wrecking ball to the club.

Lambert is simply a reflection of what Evans' has presided over. A yesterday man who doesn't fit the job we need him to do. The evidence suggests he think he and we are bigger and better than what we are and we don't need to lay the foundations or do the basics thoroughly enough before trying to stroll through the league.

It's come back and bitten us, because behind the good intentions to undo the rubble left by Hurst we aren't the club of 2-3 years ago. Breaks my heart watching as we're like a car hurtling into a crash, whilst Lambert and Evans have no way of turning around.

That’s probably true - I’m slightly clouded by the sadness I feel and am perhaps projecting it onto PL.

The thing is, Hurst was terrible and ruined us, but I genuinely believe he had a plan, and that he believed in what he was doing. The fact it was nonsense and terrible is awful obviously.

With PL, he just seems to be a total fraud - and nothing but a mouth piece. He got off so lightly with our relegation because he said nice things and galvanised the club. Where is that feeling now?

He is like a fast forward MM. Except he couldn’t save us from relegation, signs cr*ap players, has no identity and has had no success.

I'd say Keane because he did the initial damage which only McCarthy, grimly hauling us up by our bootstraps*, has been able to counteract.

* Unfortunately, they snapped off in his hands.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I don’t think any of the managers that ME has appointed are blameless in terms of where we are.

But, and it’s a big but, ME biggest failure has been his awful appointments of CEOs. All have been completely out their depth, clueless and seemingly have no football business knowledge at all. This has left the club aimlessly groping for inspiration in the dark.

We're where we are because of Keane. Had he not burned ME so hard with his total incompetence then maybe, just maybe Marcus Evans might have actually backed the one competent manager he's ever employed with some funds in 2015.
Lambert is coming up hard on his shoulder, though.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
